Lunch boxes

Post by Sootyzilla » Thu Jun 05, 2008 22:39

I was in the greengrocers' in Pollokshields today and spied a tiffin box on a shelf. I've been looking all over Glasgow for one so I grabbed it at once. I have a tiffin box! This makes me ridiculously happy for some reason.

Maybe I should get some more and start my own dabba wallah business.

are they really hard to find?

colin, it has seperate little containers that you stack on top of each other and then it all closes up neatly.
tell me how good it is / to wake from a bad dream / and have someone there and I will tell you / how butterfly wings stay dry in the rain

I think I'd like one of those just so I could say the word 'tiffin' all the time. It's one of those words, isn't it?

I bloody loved taking my lunch to work in a Tiffin in India. I hate food getting all mixed up so Tiffins were perfect for me. I brought one back, but it broke and I haven't found another small enough since.

you can get them online easy enough. they do hold enough food for a small family gathering, though.

mine only has two tiers (the photo at the top is someone elses), but it was half the price of those ones.

I've just ordered a new lunchbox in a bid to start making some proper lunches.

It looks pretty cute to me - now all I need is to be not-lazy and actually use it!
