Water water water!

Post by let it ride » Sun Aug 31, 2008 9:43 pm

Am I the only one who drinks tons and tons of water every day? I guess since I hate fizzy drinks, tea, coffee (I had a trial time with it, so now I CAN drink it, but I don't enjoy it very much apart from the first caffeine kick, and it only makes me wanna pee like mad, totally unhelpful at work!), and only buy juice maybe every two or three months for myself, I just end up drinking water. Although I see how this makes me sound a bit schizo, but when I started the juice thread yesterday it was because it was the first time I had had any in ages! And I stay FAR AWAY from milk, yuk, the stuff freaks me out.

I always have a water bottle with me, and as soon as I come home I pour myself a jug of it, so I have it handy.

One of my favourite things to do when I was younger was to walk through the forest up at my grandmother's summer house in Sweden with my dad and sisters, to get to the little mini spring fairly close to us and you brought a little mug, and we'd all get to drink some ice cold super fresh water. Mmmmm. Water. It's good shit.

I tend to be drawn to veg and fruit like cucumber (when I was little I asked to get to eat a whole cucumber (it took me ten minutes) instead of having my normal Saturday sweets now and again) and melon, as it is so watery and nice. So yes.

Who is with me in being so socially awkward that they drink water almost exclusively?

i could probably drink water almost exclusively if it weren't for booze, i reckon. i tend to drink a lot of squash, but i've been trying to just have water instead. one of the many amazing things about living in scotland is the fact that the tap water tastes fucking great.

anorak today has been like one of those dreams you have where you've been drinking and you dream about drinking lots of water and juice and stuff.

I used to get headaches from being dehydrated, and since then, I over-compensate by drinking a ton of water. But I always have to wake up during the night to pee! Lame!

I think I pretty much drink water, beer, wine and coffee. There's not much else I drink regularly, like at least once a week.
As wrong as it was to do,

I'm mental for water me. Beautiful stuff. I absolutely love it when you're dead thirsty, like so thirsty you literally cannot summon the teenyist bit of spit, and you glug an icy cold tumbler of fresh water down your neck.

When I lived in a flat that was the worst time ever because the water was the mingyest tepid fucking shite I've ever tasted. The best water I've tasted is at my mums house in Burnley in the hills. It just tastes that much fresher.

Right, I'm off for a glug now.
Fuck your tea room.

Oh yes! I love it when you have a whole bottle of water in one go and the air goes out of it because you literally can't stop drinking because it is just SO DAMN GOOD.

Water is the best thing in the world. I like the Stockholm water best of all, it's fantastic! Also, it makes my hair extra soft, haha! Water really is the best thing. Mmmmmm.

God, I could just do with a nice icy cold glass of water right now. I'm at work, and the water's crap and has a funny aftertaste. I have to have about 5 or 6 brews a day, which is no substitute.
Fuck your tea room.

During a normal working week I exclusively drink water and green tea. Oh, and a protein shake in the morning. Wow, I sound like such a hippy.

In the weekends it´s the same + alcohol.

I think I drink at least 12 glasses of water every day. Thankfully the Dutch tapwater tastes pretty nice.

Yowza!

I pretty much do the same. Well, kinda.

Smoothie in the morning, water all day, sometimes a bit of orange juice (only about 1l per week). No tea or coffee. Booze on the weekend (not this weekend unless I find some in a skip).
I am struck speechless by the nape of your neck.

Started dieting recently and it involves drinking loads of water. I love it more and more with each glass that I have.

The best water I ever had was in Dubrovnik. Croatian water is brilliant.

Can I causes controversy by speaking out as a northerner who prefers southern water?

Obviously it's not a massive disparity of preference (because it's water).
