Tipple Of Choice

Post by Tomb » Thu Oct 04, 2007 09:21

What's your choice of tipple? I'm a real ale man myself and no I don't wear socks with sandals.

Fave beer has to be London Pride or Timothy Taylor Landlord.

What's yours? (hic)

Red wine - I like Merlot, but whatever's £3.99 in Sainsbury's will normally do.

Or gin.

Beer and lager give me terrible hiccups, as you know Tom.

Currently, a pint of Sunchaser.
If it's particularly cold out, then some Southern Comfort.
Because it makes my belly warm.

Mmm.

the best thing for making bellys warm is that bloody strong rum me and pete were drinking after the footy the other week.. 70% or something daft was it? woody? mmm.

tequila is my favourite drink, if i could drink it all the time.. i quite like whiskey at the moment, or rum.. mostly anything except white wine, gin and bacardi!

Hmmm... so many options.
wine...white, red, rose - I'm an all-round fella... there's so much crap talked about wine - if your taste buds are so refined that you really, really can't drink a 5 quid bottle then that makes me sort of sad..
Guinness, if I'm in the mood... Cider... love a poncey beer, particularly the Belgian/Dutch witbear things (I've probably spelled that wrong)

Of course, nothing REALLY beats a great big

COCKTAIL!!

After all the restraint it took not to just type "cock", as well...

Uninterestingly, Skol Super is also made by Carlsberg. You can see why there are so many callers to the hotline.

i would like to ask why skol super was reduced from 9.2% to a piffling 9%? surely the lucrative street drinking demographic are up in arms about this?

also i would like to ask how i'm supposed to keep it chilled when i sold my fridge to pay for skol super. i suppose i am homeless so i can just stick in a bag in the canal for a bit. but what about summer?

also i would also like to ask why i have gone blind.

But Carlsberg has cornered the market in tramp-directed beverages. What is the alternative for these home-unencumbered consumers? Tennents Super? I don't think so. If you've gone blind you haven't been drinking enough. The key is to keep drinking until you don't care that you've gone blind.

Tenents Super actually tastes rather like Duval.
And it's a third of the price.
Put it in a fancy glass, sip elegantly and await leg numbness.
Repeat as necessary.

That looks like Good Rum.
I always forget about rum when I'm ordering drinks.
Rum needs a revival.

The only time I've had rum I sweated profusely into my Christmas dinner. It was horrible.

It's just the thing as these cold nights draw in!

And the only acceptable spirit/beer mix is a shot of rum in a pint of Guinness.

Not extra cold Guinness, obviously.

I read earlier on that they've invented red Guinness. Has anyone else seen that? What's that all about?

It's like red diesel. It's against the law and what goths drink.

I saw a telly advert for Red Guinness.
I don't know what it is though.
It sounds exotic.
