It does seem a bit odd that they keep taking over more and more Sheffield pubs. Why not have a Thornbridge pub, like, somewhere else?

I went to Dada at the weekend and the beer was nice and the staff were friendly but the atmosphere and decor were WEIRD and not particularly welcoming.

I was wondering why they haven't gone for one in the Peaks somewhere, closer to where they're based - or further north or west, and show the rest of Yorkshire the great beer it's missing. (Couldn't really fit that into the blog post though.)

A couple of Derby types are off to interview Thornbridge today (for hatchd, I assume) so I've attempted to prime one of them (a certain Robert 'Fairy' Fairs) with some questions about their SHEFFIELD ONSLAUGHT. Will be interesting to see what they say!

Here's the Thornbridge article. It doesn't shed a lot of light on the matters discussed above, really!

I collect beer bottles, and I need that one in my life. In bottle form, obviously.

I had a pint of this beer recently. It really did taste like a starter, main and dessert - mainly the last one!

When we escape to Cardiff I am looking at opening a shop. A specialist Craft Beer Bottle Shop that will sell select craft beers / vinyl / books.

I've just set up the facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/popnhops
and the twitter account: https://twitter.com/Popnhops

website will follow in due course: http://www.popnhops.co.uk

Feel free to like/follow/visit if you live near Cardiff and/or like good beer.

Awesome!

Come up to Sheffield and I'll take you to Walkley Beer Co. Kit is doing this real ale bottle shop thing properly.
