I've still not found any crisp that even come close to Hendersons Relish flavoured Yorkshire Crisps but I am really enjoying the new Walkers salt and vinegar flavoured ridge crisps. They're just so vinegary! In fact all this talk of crisps is making me want to go and buy a pack right now.

Baked are a travesty! Just about bottom of my pile for any crisps purchase.

They are but they kind of fool me into thinking they are healthier even though I know the difference is probably negligible. At least they've got vinegar on which is my main reason for buying crisps. Perhaps I should just get a bottle of vinegar on my desk to swig from!

If you want a lower calorie crisp, or potato or maize based snack then I tend to find you're better going for squares, wotsits or quavers. All that goodness for around 100 calories!
Of all the crisps availabale in my work canteen though, I have to say that Kettle's sweet chilli and sour cream are the best.

Wotsits and Quavers don't have vinegar and they don't sell Squares at work :-(

Apparently you can get salt and vinegar Quavers (I knew Smiths used to do them, but I didn't realise Walkers did), although only as part of a multipack.

Your Walker is our Lays, which used to be Smiths, right?

These are this year's contestants in the taste battle in the Netherlands this year:

Last year's winner, 'Patatje Joppie' is actually really, surpsisingly, lovely:

Walkers has always been Walkers, but Walkers also bought out Smith's. So now some Smith's stuff still says Smith's but is in fact made by Walkers, and some stuff doesn;t exist anymore.

Walkers is owned by Pepsico and is Lay's everywhere else in the world. I think.

Isn't that second one a Beastie Boys album?

Apologies for going off topic, but have you tried the Reggae Reggae ginger beer? It's shit.

I bet Seabrooks have been covered many-a-time in this thread. But they were always a raffle. One bag would have fucking tons of flavour, one bag hardly had any. Always sold in school tuck shops and Northern working mens clubs.

Walkers. Average. You get a pretty robust, but unfulfilling crisp ultimitely.

Not keen on those Sensations ones Pete. Nice flavour, but way, way to harsh on my gums and roof of mouth. Think I even hurt my mouth on one of them. You shouldn't hurt your gob on crisps.

As I've been on a diet for 4 months, I've been getting these things called Rice Thins from Home Bargains (69p each pack). A quarter pack is 100 cals and the salt & vinegar and sweet chilli ones have just been like crystal meth. I NEED my thins every day. NEED.
Fuck your tea room.

Today I had a packet of bacon flavoured Wotsits Wafflers. The packet suggests they're something they've brought back from the past, but I don't remember them from my youth. They're quite big and chunky, which I like in a corn snack.

This reminds me: probably the best crisps I've ever had are these M&S Wotsit-style ones that have INTENSE FLAVOUR. They're utterly amazing.

I was looking at this thread wishing I had crisps, so I phoned Astrid, who is not home yet, and asked her if we could have crisps for supper.

Today I had some Smiths Twisted flaming hot flavour. I think they're new - it seems odd that they're being branded as Smiths rather than Walkers. They're like a big long Wotsit in a spiral; like a corn-snack version of a turkey twizzler. Most satisfactory.
