You're mixing your food groups. Maybe a scampi 'n' lemon Nik Nak?

It's simple. The answer is Cheese and Onion. The answer is always Cheese and Onion.

i think moopind has the right idea here. the problem is not the flavour of crisp but the texture. you shouldn't go putting plain old walkers crisps in a salmon sandwich. jesus. some nik naks, maybe some skips or something.

it's a minefield. i feel like when people try and explain cricket to me. is there somekind of sandwich type to crisp texture chart i'm not aware of?

it's not something you can be taught, jamie. you have to experiment for yourself. but really, the texture of the salmon would be overwhelmed by a particularly crunchy crisp. the worst thing you could do would be to put a kettle chip in there.

fucking hell, i was literally just thinking, "maybe i should have put a kettle chip in". i've gone the wrong way texturewise! surely a knick-knack is the worse thing you could put in then?

what about putting a TUC biscuit in there?

There's no need to bring politics into it.

ZING!

i think kettle chips should never really be put in a sandwich, unless you've got a particularly sturdy baguette or suchlike. whenever i've tried it i've ripped both the bread and my mouth to shreds. it's a bad business.

a tuc biscuit might well work. or a ritz cracker. i'm really not sure. i can tell you're an anarchist jamie.

Did anyone else put apple *and* crisps in their sandwiches when they were little, or was that just me?

I mean c'mon... cheddar, coleslaw, apple and Walkers smoky bacon. That's got to get your juices flowing.

This coming from the person, who, a few posts earlier, suggested putting a Ritz cracker into a sandwich.
