If anything does, Hendy's Relish does. How did you manage to make it last so long?

I was doing my fence today and ran out of creosote, so I finished it off with a bottle of Henderson's. Worked a treat.

Oooh look:

I don't have a fence :)
As wrong as it was to do,
Those eyes were made to look into.

That's the best bit about Hendy's! Well, apart from it being amazing in stews and cheese on toast.

I went past that building the very first time I visited Sheffield.

I think this is a Yorkshire thing. It makes much more sense if you imagine a chap with a thick yet soothing Yorkshire accent saying it.
And by me, I mean, Flexo.

It reminds me of the old Shackleton's high seat chair advert.

"My niece got it from their showroom you know. They had over a 100 chairs to choose from!"

A hundred was a lot in those days.

I saw a bottle of this (I swear, in all my years in W. Yorks. I never saw the stuff!) on crystalball's counter and I almost took a swig (I'm not sure what one "relishes" w/it) just to say I'd tried it, but jet lag and politeness curtailed the urge.

I keep meaning to try making a bloody mary with it. Or strip the manky varnish off the floorboards in the cellar.

W. Yorks. refuses to acknowledge Henderson's Relish out of sheer jealousy.

Oh. I demand to try some of this! Just went to the website and it looks fab. I miss that sauce that has anchovies in it. I used to sprinkle it onto bread and make the cheese on toast with it. This seems like this would be a fab replacement for it.

So, if Pete or someone could get me some. I'd exchange it for beers at the bowlie all dayer.

Or does anyone know whether it can be got in this London?

This is where the jukebox stops and everyone looks round in horror like in the pub in An American Werewolf in London.

I'll try and remember to grab a couple of bottles this week and bring 'em with me... but if anyone does know whether it can be got in that London, please tell crystalball. Every time she comes to Sheffield she struggles to get on the train back home with her eight cases of Henderson's.

Before I moved countries I had a bottle of Henderson's left in the cupboard. I had to tip it down the sink. I don't think the shame and waste of the whole event has left my dreams yet.

Come to think of if, I don't know why there was some left. I sprinkled it more or less on everything I could find. Including the cat.
Is there love in the sound of a closing door?

I think you have to order 24 cases or something though.

So does Worcestershire sauce. I am starting to think this is Worcestershire sauce in disguise w/Ye Olde Charming Packaging.

*ducks and waits for bottles of relish to be thrown*

Eh? Worcestershire sauce is the one with anchovies in it - not this one. This one seems to be veggie friendly. And I've not had Worcestershire sauce in over 21 years. I tried a veggie version once. It wasn't very nice.

I've just had some this lunch and I think that they are probably the nicest crisps I've ever had.
