Not good. Predominantly there are terrible sludgy things with precisely zero zing, which you buy in plastic tubs. Some stuff I'll buy ready-made but with salsa I'll always make my own.
It's probably safe to say Mexican food generally is not very developed in the UK. I'd love to eat Mexican in California. Or, y'know, Mexico.

Yeah, I dunno about ready-made salsa here either. Thing is, it's pretty easy to make it at home and then you leave it in the fridge for a day and it's all spicy and rounded and lovely. I make salsa verde too now and guacamole, obviously, and shop-bought stuff doesn't do it for me anymore. No-one is going to put as many jalapeños in them as I do, you see.
Is anyone else thinking about Mexican food and ingredients and recipes all the time? I don't know why you would eat anything else. So in love.
