I talked myself out of buying milk-chocolate hobnobs before... and now I really regret it.

I forgot my lunch today and I only had 50 cents, not even enough for a banana. I was all crabby about it until I realised that my work's over-exuberant social committee was putting on a dessert social. I ended up having some fruit and two gorgeous soft gingerbread cookies for lunch. All I had to do was smile like I cared about meeting people from other departments!

I hate it when people pronounce "cookie" like "cuek-yee." All the people in cookie ads on television pronounce it like that, sets my teeth right on edge.

keep the cookies, and send the girl scouts to me. where's the problem?
As wrong as it was to do,
Those eyes were made to look into.

there is nothing in this world that could possibly be better than a tunnock's caramel wafer with a big mug of coffee.

Drinking coffee whilst having a poo. Are there now depths you won't sink to?

Ah, but how long is it since you had a Tunnock's Tea Cake?!

I bought these the other day because they are such ridiculously good value: 74p for 6 in Morrison's. They come in an excpetionally attracive yellow box with beautiful typography and the tea cakes are individually wrapped in cute red and silver foil... they even have stars on! Now, I was expecting to be slightly disappointed by the biscuit itself but it tasted so good! Nice chocolate, a good bit of biscuit, and absurd quantities of sugary mallow...mmmm. Even better, you're never remotely tempted to eat more than one!

I see your caramel wafer and raise you a double-chocolcate muffin. Wrong thread? Sorry. But that is in fact the best thing ever with coffee.

it is mere weeks since i last had a tea cake! i love to bite all the chocolate off the top bit, then eat the mallow bit, and then the biscuity base.

you could at least have saved that joke until someone mentioned the tunnock's caramel log. you'd have got a bigger laugh.

i used to be all for regicide, but i tell you what, the prince charles duchy original organic shortbread biscuit i just had has made me an ardent royalist. tremendous. breathtaking. rule britainna. monstrous carbuncles. nicholas witchell is a tool. what, what.
When the people are being beaten with a stick, they are not much happier if it is called 'the People's Stick.'

I think he does one with stem ginger and/or orange rind or something which is really horrible... it tastes like one of them urinal cakes (I imagine)

like all royalty he gives a decent shortbread with one hand while slipping a piss soaked biscuit into your mouth with the other (see princess margaret, the time she visited me in hospital)

No! Biscuity base comes first. Then mallow.

You can work around it if you're as dedicated to the cause as I am though! You've got to end on the mallow in order to go away happy!

That's pretty much the size of it. So you better stop getting things wrong!
