Yeah. Strong action. Town are taking 2,000 to Notts County this Saturday; only 60 went to Walsall on Tuesday. Overall crowds were down 23% on the same phase last year - a record low. I only hope our lot don't cave in when Leicester send their B team up to Cleethorpes, whenever that is.Michael Quentin wrote:That's a really strong piece. The pictures of the boycotts were heartening also.

ITV's 1974 World Cup preview show has turned up, and it's a thing of timelocked beauty.

If anyone wants a read, I had one of my less uninspired days on Cod Almighty's diary today.

Oh it's shocking isn't it that. Rather indefensible really. But I can't help laughing my head off at the ''My kids are getting no Christmas presents now because of you'' line.
Fuck your tea room.

...aaaaand as sure as night follows day, back comes the newly available potty mouth to manage us sad sacks for the third time.
Two wins out of three in the league since his return augurs well, but there's still a long way to go before that trillionth consecutive year of third tier football becomes assured.

It'd be especially nice if you stay up at the expense of the illegitimate franchise. Or Shrewsbury. I quite like Shrewsbury as a club but I really don't want them to stay up since Paul Hurst went there. On balance I liked Hurst as Town manager, but since he did one, he can do one.
I see you did a free entry thing the other week for one of those wins. This inevitably brings back bitter memories of a similar offer back in the 2003-04 season, on the day you beat us 6-0.

Re: The Football
Yeah it was last night. Boosted the crowd to 7,200 from the regulation 3,500. I enjoyed it, in between agonising pain from a tooth abscess.
I got locked out of that Grimsby match, got a call from a mate saying it was full over an hour to kick off. I'd have been better being a Grimsby fan that day. Was that really THIRTEEN years ago?!?

Losing to them three nights ago courtesy of a ninetysixth-minute winner was assuredly not part of the greater plan. Botheration, sod and toss.

Re: The Football
Its like Sheridan staged the whole move to Notts County move, purposely being shit and then waltzing back in, walking on water to rescue us yet again. Takes a special kind of talent to do that. Mustn't be easy.
