Fuck's sake. That just about says it all, doesn't it.

The protest sounds great though - well done for that, the fans.

Why is the season starting so early up there, then?

It's mainly so that Scottish teams don't have to play European qualifiers during their pre-season against teams who are part of the way through their season and therefore fitter.

Ah, right. Cheers.

When Tony Butcher moans about something, I'm usually on the opposing side to his argument.

As a number of drunk Englishmen sang at me when I was in London wearing my Rangers strip, circa 1990: there's only one Terry Butcher.

Go on! Defend the SPL! Go on!
Despite there being no Scottish team in the group stage of the Champions League for the first time since 2002-03, Doncaster defended the quality of the SPL.

"We've got players like David Goodwillie who has just gone to Blackburn for a multi-million pound sum," he said.

"And we've certainly got a very good representation of managers south of the border."
Oh!

It's been coming for a while so I'm resigned to it. The new owner, Craig Whyte, is getting it in the neck from a lot of fans but the problems are all to do with the previous regime paying salaries into offshore accounts. That's not to say the new guy isn't a seriously shady customer, mind you.

It looks like the league is finished for us if we get a 10 point deduction but I can't say I'm arsed. One fan on a Rangers forum earlier was demanding a refund on his season ticket because we're now not going to win the league. I suppose that's the kind of thing people hate us for...
