I'm not sure what hurts more - losing to your local rivals in the first competitive game between the two for nine years or losing to your local rivals in the first competitive game between the two for nine years and being comprehensively outplayed, especially out wide by 2 tricky wingers and 2 nous-filled strikers getting on the end of their crosses.

Either way. Fucking Pars bastards.

Does anyone think we'll be seeing a team from outwith the Old Firm team in the top 2 this year then? It's looking like a possibility right now at least.

I reckon I've been following rangers for 17 years and this is the worst team I've seen, though they did alright against Motherwell yesterday. Celtic look pretty bad too so I reckon if someone like Dundee United get their act together they could finish 2nd or dare to dream, 1st.

So, fitba eh? Bloody hell... (as somebody once said).

Tuesday night is why we support our wee diddy teams. I think this sums it all up quite well -

To think, the captain (and probably best centre half in the First Division) was out after being in a car crash the previous day, one of the only 2 other recognised centre halves got injured in the warm-up and had to be replaced by a midfielder, there was a midfielder at left back, the left winger went off injured after 20 minutes or so... And we still fucking did them!

I'm glad I was there. It's a privilege to follow your team and see nights like this. I don't think the smile will go away for a while yet.

Yep, spot on mate. We go through untold amounts of shit football, bad results, kicking things in frustration, and nights like that just make it all so worth it.

I noticed that result the other night, and I did think "Ahh, Chris'll be happy!"
Fuck your tea room.

Yeah, I quite enjoyed that result. St Johnstone giving Hibs a 5-1 thrashing was a bit of a turn up for the books as well!

Anyone fancy a Raith Rovers v Ross County Scottish Cup Final? Celtic should really steer clear of the Highlands!

ME! But then again I have a vested interest in tomorrow's SF! Tomorrow will be fun. I'm on one of the 90 Rovers buses going to the game, we're leaving from a hotel in Edinburgh that's opening at 9am especially (for a "liquid" breakfast no doubt...) for us. Not sure I'll make it for 9, but I will make it for 11 when the bus is due to leave. However, I can confirm that I will not be wearing a kilt, wig or any other comedy items - I could be on the telly (well, the highlights as it's not live), ken?

Only 24k at the game today. Greatest fans in the world eh? Sounds as if Ross C totally deserved that. Good on 'em, and here's to joining them!

This was the first game of fitba I've seen this season, and Celtic were really poo.

I was trying to explain to my kid what Ross County beating Celtic at Hampden is like in English footy terms. It's not doable.
My apple pies go off today.

Oooh, I dunno. It was nice to see Harry Redknapp's twitch on overdrive for the last ten minutes of the FA Cup semi-final yesterday. Dead funny.

A team from the Highlands in the Scottish Cup Final for the first time today. On you go County, it would be fun.

James Beattie has signed for Rangers, then. Good price!

This bit on the BBC Sport website has given me a laugh.
Celtic winger Paddy McCourt is available after recovering from the neck injury he suffered in the league victory over Inverness.

McCourt sustained whiplash during his goal celebrations after netting the winner at the Caledonian Stadium.

How come the game in the SPL tonight kicked-off early?

To avoid clashing with the Champion's League apparently. Conflict of interest for fans of both St Johnstone and Chelsea.

Apparently...
UEFA requirements on televised fixtures going up against Champions League ties has resulted in the earlier kick-off times, with both games being broadcast on ESPN.

The SPL would have been subject to financial penalties if it had scheduled the games in direct competition to the quarter finals of the European competition. Four Champions League ties are due to be broadcast on Sky Sports across the two dates.
At least...
The game had a farcical start, with a number of footballs coming onto the field of play to cause confusion as part of a fans' protest at the 1800 BST kick-off required to avoid a live television clash with the Champions League.
What a load of arse though.
