Aloha

Post by !seamonkey! » Wed Jul 23, 2008 6:00 am

Everything smiles here in Hawaii. The sun, the rain drops, even the coconut flavored cupcakes seem to wink at me.... yet I find myself frowning some days. Not the result of unpleasant sights or smells, these frowns are the result of silence. There is little anorak here and my ears can only comfortably rest on these little white pillows i call earphones. Am I alone on this dingy??? Are there any little fish out there that can direct me to hidden p!o!p in Hawaii??

Awww, how sad! I always feel so alone here in butch rock Chicago, but I cannot imagine being on a tropical island that's got its own time zone practically to itself!

(In Hawaii news, for my job, we were asked to do an educational workshop in Hawaii and Guam but I don't think expenses will allow us to fly all the way out there! Too bad.)

Maybe you should start something up yourself? DJing at a nice little bar to the sounds of the Summer Cats and the Would-Be-Goods while Mai Tais are consumed and the warm breeze flows through the open door?
There's more than one use for every part

I think you're right. I am going to make the effort to make the humble sounds of TPOBAH or the Summer Cats well known here. I know two venues that might be interested...maybe even a museum?!

I'm not in Hawaii, but that does sound pretty damn tempting... *packs ukulele*
