Anyone got any new/updated tips for things to see and do in Berlin? Dan and I are off there in a couple of weeks (the weekend of the 21st to be precise) having never been before - I've never been to Germany at all so it's quite exciting!

I guess I could? Mostly interested in things in the "bar/restaurant/club" or the "sights and Berlin things" category? (If you ask again closer to the time, I can check if I have any good tips on anything happening as well.)
Night, and someone has turned up the volume on their TV too high, an interview from Bosnia-Herzegovina 1995: They shoot babies, don't they? Yes, they shoot babies, too. (Followed by pop songs by eg. Genesis.)

Both categories really! Just the general 'wouldn't be the first thing you'd see in the guidebook so you might miss it unless someone tells you about it' category.

record shops: bis aufs messer (friedrichshain) and static shock (neukolln) are good for punk/indie.

i used to have a really detailed list, but it's on an old hard drive and probably out of date anyway.

I'm going in May. Does anyone know where I might find an Anorak friendly gig on the 14th, 15th or 16th? (Thu, Fri, Sat)

Is this thread still alive and kicking?

Heading to Berlin with my little bro in October & need to find something good to do (it's his 21st birthday while we're there, argh!). Any indie gigs/clubs that I can take him to?

We're staying at the Sunflower hostel if anyone is nearby and wants to meet up :)
