My missus was moaning that there was nowhere to sit at Jamm last night and it was a bit of a trek from the underground, but I think The School won her over.

Greeeeeeeeeeetiiiiings kiddos, anyone knows if there are any nice northern clubs going down this weekend? I'm in shape for dancing again I think. Let the backdropping and spinning begin!

Gah, Shame I didn't know about the dj recruitment... I would have brought my finest trousers and the very finest records. Nothing is better than girly rocksteady to soothe the the achingly hungovered soul. We're pleased, and in anticipation.
thanks!

Q: How perfect was last night? A: Very. Very perfect.

Zipper were amazing again, even better after having gotten to know the album. Betty and the Werewolves were so fucking good.

I was so happy and drunk and bouncy. Not quite feeling it this second, but soon... On my way to the pub soonish - hopefully will be there for about 2pm.

The fest has been brilliant so far. Last night was superb & bonus I even made it back to Southampton before 3am!
Just off to catch the train back up again in a minute.

All the bands have been excellent so far! Zipper, The School, Pocketbooks and, of course, Tender Trap especially so! Looking forward to today!

It seems somewhat appropriate that todays Popfest action takes place at the Hangover lounge.. 3 days so far is beginning to catch up on me.
and that snare drum, that drum roll
means we've got a winner

It caught up with me about 20 minutes after Town Bike - i shall never mock Sam EVER AGAIN for going home early!

I've just worked out my Very Special Ukelele-based Round for the pop quiz today, hope people are coming!

I went home early. My mate was projectile vomiting for two hours solid in the pub down the road. I don't think his antibiotics agreed with the bitter.

Oh no! I kept hoping to bump into you and have a chat, but obviously didn't. Sorry I was so late to the pub - the road to hell is paved with good intentions.

I'm missing the last day of Popfest due to work commitments, sadly, so the wonderful weekend has drawn to a close for me. Friday was truly perfect - one of the best nights ever. Saturday was... patchier, mostly due to tiredess and headachiness, but it was lovely to chat and catch up with so many people.

The musical highlights for me were definitely Betty and the Werewolves, Liechenstein, Zipper and The Loves. All kinds of wonderful.

I only could stay for the first five bands yesterday but it was great. Good atmosphere and great to catch up with so many people. I know I rib them for sounding like so many other bands (only because I am old enough to remember those bands who they sound like!) but Liechtenstein were superb yesterday. Really enjoyed their set.

Yesterday was wonderful and the post-popfest blues are setting in already, mere minutes after our coach arrived back in Sheffield!

I loved Liechtenstein before, but I love them even more now (especially their song about Bobby Ball!). Nice girls too;-). Also, the PGCJ kicked big fat rock ass! Hey, it was all good.

Thank you to everyone involved, but especially to Marianthi - you're a star!

It was a great day, made all the better by the remarkable chips and curry sauce next door. The sound in the venue was great too... Strange little venue though. However did you find it?!
