I can guarantee 1000000% that the drinking will definitely happen, although it may not be vodka as I now have a ridiculous, superstitious pre-gig ritual of having to drink a double bourbon with ice before going on.

This was awesome, I had an ace time. Thanks so much for organising it Trev, and especially for putting us on, we really appreciate it.

Trev!

This was the BEST DAY! Didnt manage to see all the bands, (food.. drink.. socialising, you know how it is) but i didnt see anything that wasnt A+

Highlights:
-I loved how Fireworks filled the room with their sound, and given the last time i saw them in London they played to about 12 people in an empty Power Lunches, it was great to see the room full for them. CAN'T WAIT for their album.
-T-Dead were (finally, for me) a revelation.. I've loved the records for a long time but i've always been left a little disappointed live, Saturday i saw a definitive T-Dead show, i hope i get to see a lot more.
-Helen Love themselves, at the 100 Club i felt (and i know others felt the same) it was a little flat, nothing will compare with The Indietracks show, but Saturdays, for me, was by far the best i've seen them play, Helen seems to have grown in confidence and actually seemed to be enjoying herself at times. It was just a joy.

Lowlights:
Clare Pop peaking for The Lovely Eggs and then wanting to go home soon after the bands finished, despite telling me all day she was up for staying for the dancing :(

Great day though Trev, a jewel in the Odd Box crown.
and that snare drum, that drum roll
means we've got a winner

Spot on ,I agree with what you say ,yes that 100 club show was flat, but I felt that was the best we have played on Saturday ,it felt exciting and fun,and everyone was up for it,I do feel there is sometimes an indie snobbery that is used against us,not that I give a fuck anymore,it is ok to just have a beer and jump up and down and have fun.
I really loved it ,the whole show was not just about the "indie in crowd", trevs bands rocked it, lost pets were beautiful,no ditching punk rocked out,Hyperbubble should be at Indietracks this year, the school were spellbinding and the eggs were the fucking eggs the best band in the world.
Phill was ace,and lovely and encouraging us ,and he now loves the school and the eggs so they will soon be on Buzzcocks .I really wanna wanna do it again, and Trev was a bloody star, but you all know that already.x

Hello! Hayley from Lost Pets here (I was the one in the ridiculous pink wig). Thank you for saying such a lovely thing about us, it means a lot! I bought my first Helen Love single in 1997(ish) and instantly became obsessed - if I'd known then that I'd be playing in an actual band on the same bill as you I think I would have fainted with joy and disbelief. You were so brilliant on Saturday, I was exhausted but managed to perk myself up as soon as you came on stage!

Also, thank you again to Trev for putting us on, we all had the best time and also thank you to everyone who watched us, I think we were all scared that no-one would turn up in time to see us!

Great day, Trev. Sorry to have left so early, but I can't do three gigs in a week any more and I'd spent most of the day lugging Lost Pets' drum pedals around London in a 1970s suitcase, and I needed a kebab and my bed in the Lenny Henry Suite at the Premier Inn.

Fireworks were amazing as ever, though. The album is going to be immense.

Great day out, hats off to all who were involved - the bands and those behind the scenes. Would have like to have seen some of the earlier bands - just haven't got the staying power these days. Very impressed with The School, LEs and HL every bit as good if not better than Indietracks last year! Well worth the trip down from Edinburgh though :-)

Of the 5 times i've seen Helen Love since the live reemergence, Saturday's show was the best! It was also my favourite School show this year, and i've been at almost all of theirs. Phill Jupitus was great too. He told a haiku about They Might Be Giants FFS. Fireworks were awesome, Hyperbubble were awesome, Lovely Eggs were awesome... Yeah, awesome! Great DJs too (i'm looking at you Gareth from Bristol). Best indiepop day out this year! Thanks Helen and Trev! The Welsh do it best, clearly.

Forgot to say how much I enjoyed The Fireworks with their wall of swirling guitars, having only seen them before through the church window at Indietracks, and the music between the bands was fantastic too.

Phil Jupitus was on Sunday Brunch this morning and mentioned this gig- I think he referred to it as brilliant... either brilliant or amazing... whichever, he was very effusive about it and Helen Love and The Lovely Eggs got namechecked... Simon Rimmer also revealed himself to be a Redskins fan from back in the day

Yeh, I am often exposed to Sunday Brunch, I'm not proud

It's on Channel 4, it's a vehicle for Tim Lovejoy and Simon Rimmer where they have guests who plug things while helping to cook things and taste things... it goes on forever and there's a lot of pulled pork

I have no idea what Sunday Brunch, Simon Rimmer or Redskins are but Phill Jupitus talked about the alldayer on Channel 4?! That's brilliant!
