Hyper Enough and Yeah Buddy present...
America's greatest band return to Liverpool once more with their fourth album Roadrunners - produced by MJ of Hookworms fame, it's almost certainly their finest effort to date. Their sound, as ever, is reminiscent of Pavement, Guided By Voices and Black Lips holding hands before leaping feet first into an active volcano, but it's smarter and louder than ever before - a band who are way too smart to waste their time looking for answers when they could be framing the rhetorical questions that shape us all. Indie rock as it was always meant to sound, and thrilling with it.
"Whatever it is that sets Witching Waves apart from their contemporaries, they’re unquestionably a breath of fresh air," said Drowned in Sound of Witching Waves' debut album. Since then they've toured the US and released an equally fine second album that merges the American aesthetic of Goo-era Sonic Youth and the Wipers with the very English post-punk of Sauna Youth and Wire - and it's all magnificent. One of the very best bands in the UK DIY scene right now. Don't miss 'em.
Irreverent, disjointed garage punk laced with satirical social commentary and doused in sarcasm. Bleach Sweets haven't even released a track online yet but have still created a buzz around themselves. With a wildly received set at WRONG Festival fresh in the memory the duo has an exciting second half of 2018 set for them.

Just listen to 20 on their Soundcloud. It's an absolute tune, 90's alt inflected with thatdog., Veruca Salt, Courtney Barnett, Mac DeMarco and much more mixed in. They sprang to life last year and the hype was palpable. They're boss.
