Well I just recorded a song, I was testing out a mic I borrowed from work. Link here.
Thanks! I played it at a gig a couple of years ago and I'd been meaning to do a quick recording, just because my brain remembered how to play it.

I'm currently enjoying your song, too - there's something in the melancholy guitars and melody that reminds me of The Radio Dept. Very nice!

This is a good thread. I'll be listening for weeks.

I've made a few songs. I'd love your opinions.

This is a lovely track - lullaby like and perfect for a languid summer's afternoon.

Earlier I wrote a poem about the time of year between the Autumnal Equinox and the Winter solstice, as well as my relationship with the Bear totem. I just set it to music and recorded a demo. It's an acoustic demo (the distorted parts were given distortion via garage band), because everyone is sleeping here, but I plan to rerecord it with electric uke.

http://salutetothesalmon.bandcamp.com/t ... ustic-demo

Here are the lyrics:

The equinox has passed
the land is growing cold
we take stock of the year and give thanks

I'm not sure if the cigarettes I smoke
are hurting me
or if they are a powerful medicine
binding me to the land I live on

this time of year,
that powerful Bear Medicine
really grabs ahold of me

When the days get shorter
you appreciate moonlight more
and as I start wearing coats again
I travel deep into the forest of the Id

alone in a cave with our young
we rest
and gather strength for when the sun returns
never forgetting that it never really leaves

this time of year,
that powerful Bear Medicine
really grabs ahold of me

I've started a new project with a friend. We've been writing lyrics via Facebook by alternating one word at a time. I recorded a demo of one of the sessions set to music. I don't know if it qualifies as indie pop, but let's not open that can of worms. Also I'm not crazy about this recording, the distortion is a little much, but it's just a demo, so we'll see what it sounds like in the end.

I sing and play electric uke and Hawaiian tremoloa.

Here it is:
https://soundcloud.com/flyingpenguinses ... trich-demo

And here are the lyrics:

All would rejoice
when the Ostrich sang;
they'd gather their families
and bask in the rays.
I always felt small
compared to that bird
but when she stopped singing,
I cried.

Did Jesus wear garments
of feathery delight?
If pigeons had teeth,
they'd bite biscuits and crime.
Last Wednesday, my niece
turned white from bad clams.
Sadly she perished,
along with her clams.

So heed theoreticians
when noontime comes near;
for your phantoms disperse
amongst whispers so dear.
Truly red now is the
antiquarian tide,
but close your eyes inward
to see how I died.

Gravy boats sail
deep into the maroon
webwork, but doomed,
they repent and turn back.

Hi, I recorded a few songs a home recently, and thought I'd share this one here. It's got soft trumpets, tremolo-y guitars, racing vibraphone argeggios and a crashing gong: I fell in love with the sunset

Here's a track I've made in collaboration with German hip hop producer C Milli. It's a departure to say the least. Would love to hear some feedback...

I finished making some recordings. All done on a laptop mic, so not the best quality.

Not a song, but a live set. This seemed like the right place to post it. If it isn't feel free to move it somewhere else.

Includes an imaginary pants cover.

Also, I tried to lead the crowd in singing We Shall Overcome, and dedicated it to Palestine......... no one sang. :-|
