Shut Up, Morrissey.

Post by roundbitsofplastic » Tue Jul 29, 2014 11:33 am

Hi,

We put together this zine for Indietracks an dpeople seemed to like it.

It's got contributions from:

Pete Green (The Sweet Nothings)
Marianthi (Spiral Scratch/London Popfest/Indietracks/All the rest of the thing)
Shaun Tomkiss (Brilldream)
Kelly Snape (Lost In Indiepop
Verity Longley (ex-Flatmates, Indie Gestion blog)
Brad San MArtin (One Happy Island)

And maybe other people, my head is still dead from the weekend.

We have none left but I might get some more copied if anyone's interested? They'd be £2 inc UK postage.

Okie-doke.

I'll give it a week or two to confirm that no other bugger is interested, then I'll get you one copied :-)
I am struck speechless by the nape of your neck.

I'm in it too. It's a good one. I loved Pete's snapshots, Marianthi's piece, Shaun's piece, Kel's piece... uhm... let's just say I liked all of it!

I'm keen! Chuckled at the title as I passed in the merch tent but was feeling the pull of that ESG* 6% beer in the loco shed.

*That wasn't the exact name, but it was certainly Moody.

Oh bloody 'ell! Yes, DENNIS of Candy Twist fame is in it. And I asked him to edit his pieace cos I am a DOUCHE and he did cos he is NICE and then I went and put the original version in anyway. Cos I am a total douche.

Right you are then. We're up to THREE in total.

Also, of course you chuckled, for I am a COMEDY GUINNESS. I'm the EXACT OPPOSITE of Morrissey. Except for the fact we're virtually the same but for my baldness and his popularity.

I'm tired.

This is a great zine. The fun stuff is fun. And with the serious stuff, the authors all seem to have found really important things to say, at the same time. It all lines up like an eclipse or a planetary conjunction that happens once in a century and it's spectacular and vital. I'm dead chuffed to be part of it. Get one if you haven't already!

What Pete said. It's beautiful. I've been walking around with it clutched on to my chest to remind myself that we're alright. Thanks for letting me be part of it, Raypops. x

I wish I'd not got so buried under sturm und drang feelings when ray asked me to contribute, not because I'd have added anything (I may have detracted) but that I could say 'you know that utterly fucking rad fanzine with all those great people in it and the great writing and shit? well, dude, I'm in it too... total coolness by association... yeh, I know, how did that happen? me amongst all those cats- far out!' and then I'd have made a peace sign and smoked some reefer and, I don't know, set fire to a cop car

Yeh, super right on

Or something

If it makes you feel any better Andy, I'd probably only have asked you to edit your contribution and then cocked it up and printed the original anyway. COS THAT'S WHAT I DO.

To clarify: Ray didn't ask me for a big edit on which I spent hours of work. He asked me to take out his name. So if you read my contribution, imagine it doesn't have his name in it, and he'll be a happy man. Or a bit happier, at least.

I feel so bad. I am so rubbish at making things that are good for people and things. Sorry, Trev. It's extra bad cos you asked me to do something for your zine which I didn;t even do cos I suck.

Urgh.

You are rubbish at being positive about yourself. I hope there'll be a #2!
