Anorak, please help. I cannot afford another 4 squillion dollars to have it mended, but I don't know if I can ask the guy who mended it right at the end of October to do a freebie, on some sort of guarantee which we never discussed in the first place.

Is there an expiry period on services rendered? What is it? And can he just turn round and say forget it either way??

It might be worth giving Brum trading standards a call, they're probably the best people to ask about your consumer rights.
