I'd add to Richard's list a couple more suggestions.

Batman Arkham Asylum
Mass Effect
Mass Effect 2
Assassins Creed 2 (but not the first one)
Dead Space
Brutal Legend
Oblivian

They should all be fairly reasonably priced as they're not new. In fact you can get Oblivian and Bioshock in one pack for £20 or could; it might be cheaper now. Also HMV were doing a 2 for 30 offer not so long ago, where I managed to get GTA4 and Fallout 3, two games also on the list.

Anyone all those games cover quite a range of genres so you're bound to find something.

Thanks as well Damian.

I'm definitely going to have a go on that Bioshock/Oblivion double pack, seems a bit rude not to at that price.

Firstly though (aside from actually buying the Xbox) i fancy that Red or Dead Redemption and finally getting to play Knights of the Old Republic some 7-8 years after it came out (i bought a dodgy PC copy in Malaysia at the time, but my PC wasn't good enough). It'll probably be crap now.

Excellent, i'll be getting that then.

I just took the plunge, new Xbox and the Bioshock/Oblivian double pack winging their way to me now, can't wait.

I can't remember what it's called, but I played an awesome zombie game on the X Box 360 recently. I think it was more of a lights out and multiplayer kind of game though.

Do people still play Halo 3 online. I played nothing but for about a whole year once.

Ever wanted to drive a bus from Tucson to Vegas at 45mph. In real time?

Me neither.

I still reckon it's more entertaining than Mass Effect though.

Dwarf Fortress.

If you can get over the fucking ginormous learning curve, and the ASCII graphics it is possibly the greatest game ever. With dwarves (dwarfs?) in it.

Minecraft is good as well, if you like fancy 3d graphics and that.

How is it? I still get a fair amount of play out of my old one (basically Modern Warfare 2 online and very little else), but might take the plunge after Christmas.

Oblivian as in Elder Scrolls Oblivian? I LOVE THAT GAME. So, yes, I second this recommendation. I've only played it on the PC though, Xboxes are a bit modern for me. Oooh, Hellgate is another excellent game, is that on Xbox?

Anyway, I came in here to get all giddy about Civilization V! Less than two weeks til it's released! Eeeee! Also, Diablo III is released soon as well, finally, although I might pass on that because I found the last one well difficult, I don't think I've ever got more than a third of the way through it. It's SCARY.

Let me know if you fancy some MW2. I've not played it in a while, but I got pretty shit hot at it.

I forgot to mention a few other decent Xbox 360 games.

Gears of War 2 (the multiplayer is full of mentals though)
Fable 2
Bayonetta
Earth Defence Force 2017

Anyone else on Xbox Live want to GAMER FRIENDS? It'll be a delight.

It's nowhere near as good as Civ IV (plus expansions). Yet. But it will be.

I am loving the hex, the fact you can't stack units (which was shit before) and the new combat dynamic as a result.

A few Patches and expansions and I will be happy.

I have become very much addicted to HaxBall. It's an awesome online game, kind of like a cross between the Championship Manager tactics screen, air hockey, and Sensible Soccer.

I just spent an unexpected tax rebate on a brand new xBox 360, and I've got a few Project Gotham Racing games and Beautiful Katamari, but I'm finding that when I try to connect to xBox Live to play multiplayer games with random faceless people across the world, there's no one out there, presumable as these games are pretty old..

What good racing games or non-shooty games are there where I'll be able to find random faceless people to play against?

That one went for over £2,000 Dave. He sold this for £10,100 at the same time. Hope he sends 'em recorded delivery!

I know! The world's gone crazy, you cant even do anything with it, if the buyer opens it then it's instantly devalued to about £30.

When i posted the link on Friday, it was 'only' at £849, (hence my posting the MegaMan link as that was far higher) It was just over £2000 staurday night by about 11 then had a massive jump at the end. (Yes, i am geeky enough to be following this)

Secret of Mana, incidentally, is probably the best of that era's RPG's. 3 player simultaneous gaming, a bunch of different weapons you could concentrate on advancing up 8 levels, really good storyline, lovely looking.. A few years you'd see copies going for £70-£80 but since you can now get it on the Wii's virtual console it's normally around £30 now.. I've just put my copy on ebay, which is how i came to stumble across this in the first place.

It's currently at a tenner.

Mine went for £32, which is about what i expected but far short of the 10 grand i could have got if i'd never opened it, theres a lesson to be learnt there!

Anyway, i bought a copy of Red Dead Undead (or whatever it's called) at the weekend from Gamestation and signed up to their reward card thing, just got this in my inbox.
Hey D

Nice one!

You’ve just achieved 250 XP for buying your 1st preowned item. This Accolade awards you with XP onto your Gamestation Elite Card for you to spend however you wish.
Cunts, would be the only term really to sum that up.

I was 5 hrs into 24hrs (real-time) of Le Mans on Gran Turismo 5, when it got dark. It was then I realised my car of choice had no headlights.

I think I'll stick to Progress Quest from now on.
