It's just really shite how it won't use Facebook and/or Twitter to hook up with friends on it. I don't really use email to contact friends and people I know. I signed up, but I'm friendless and will likely stay that way.

I think it is meant to use facebook to find friends, but they're having a bit of an argument about it.

Oh yeah, I knew that. I'd have thought Facebook would be pretty crucial to whether it succeeded or not.

I signed up last week and half of the bands I wanted to follow weren't on there. Doesn't look like it'll last.

It came with the latest update of iTunes, which was quite a big update changing the design and other things. From what I gather it's a social networking whatchamacallit which is embedded into iTunes and you interact with other friends, see what they're listening too and recommend stuff. It seems though they've made a pretty big mess of it by not having certain artists on there and not allowing other social networking stuff like Facebook and Twitter interect with it.

But lastfm does it all miles, miles better anyway seemingly.

Well yes, but a) it's different b) it's new (so not yet that good) and c) artists will flock to it because it sells more of their music than anyone else...

Who else is on it?

I'm (unsurprisingly) Gordon Hodgson.
