Indietracks announcements - 27-29 July 2018

Post by Nat » Thu Nov 23, 2017 7:58 pm

We’re really pleased to say that next year’s Indietracks will take place on the weekend of 27-29 July 2018!

We’ll be bringing a whole lot of amazing bands, steam trains, dancing, workshops, real ale, street food, kids’ activities and owls back to the Midland Railway Centre in Derbyshire once again, and we really hope you’ll join us for our 12th festival!

Applications are now open for bands, artists and DJs interested in playing at Indietracks next year. To apply, please complete the artist application form before 5pm on Sunday 14 January: 2018 band application form

We’re only accepting applications received via this form, so please use this rather than emailing via a separate email address – thank you!

We’ll be making lots of announcements and putting tickets on sale in the new year. In the meantime, please mark the dates in your diary, tell your friends, join our Facebook event page and ask all your favourite bands to apply.

Thanks so much if you came to this year’s festival, and we hope to see you all at Indietracks next year!

I remember this time last year when I was a bit "eh" about the first line up announcement and yet it still turned out to be the Best Indietracks Ever.

Well this year I'm at excitement level 100 about the line up already, so this will definitely be the Super Duper Mega Best Indietracks Ever!

And The Smittens are back! Which means it will definitely be sunny!

YEESS buying my tickets right now because it's sunny and I want to be at Indietracks right now, not sat in an office!!

(One year can we have a Jam Tent with guitars and drums etc. for playing along with other festival attendees? That would be awesome :D I can contribute some battered guitars!)

I'm kind of convinced that this is the best Indietracks line up ever. Out of all the bands I've managed to listen to (which is everyone except Ex-Void and Best Praxis as they don't seem to have any internet presence) there's only two or three I'm a bit "meh" about and several who are nearing new favourite band status (hi Happy Accidents and Life Model). That's on top of all the bands I already loved or liked.

I'm sure others disagree but I'm getting a bit giddy tbh.
