Minor point (and view it as constructive rather than a complaint!), but the music inbetween bands on the mainstage last year consisted of what seemed like one side of a cassette played over and over again all weekend! Don't get me wrong there were some decent songs on it, but a bit more variation would be good! (and I'm sure there'd be no shortage of volunteers to offer up a cd / mP3 stick or two to help fill the gaps?)

Cheers ;-)

Hello!

Team Indietracks will be making some mix CDs for the stages, but if anyone else would like to contribute a mix CD then that would be fantastic! Please drop me a line at indietrackspress@gmail.com and we can sort from there!

Thanks

Nat x

I think this is a long shot, but I thought I would ask, do you reckon there is any chance of the iPhone app being out before Wednesday... after that I will be out of the country and wifiless all the way until I arrive at indietracks (when I am still out of the country in terms of my data plan).

I will be mostly sitting in a lake in the intervening time, and hope to be very relaxed by the time I get to Alfreton.

It'll be really soon, but not sure about Wednesday. All the information will be in the programme and it's all on the website otherwise. Just pretend it's the 90s! :-)

Enjoy the lake!

Yes, we understand the campsite are organising a disco again this year. We're not involved, but it should be good. I think the DJs are False 9 (Friday), Fortuna POP! (Sat) and Des Was a Bowie Fan (Sun).

I think in the 90s the only festivals I had been to were V festivals and Leeds. Which reminds me, I am so happy Indietracks exists.

Thank-you, I shall!

Yeay campsite disco! Every year it seems to be rumoured to not be happening, then it is. It's the perfect disco environs.

Hi Guys,

We will be coming up from Reading, Berkshire and are all Vegetarian or Vegan. I just wanted to know the Vege options are at Indietracks.

Also is there any suggestion of a good cafe on the way or in the area?

Thanks in advance.

The food options tend to vary year on year. But there are usually 2 or 3 good vegetarian options. And Gopals curry shack is usually good for vegans, I think.

(I hope Gopals will be there this year).

Someone involved in organising this will know what exactly is going to be there this year. So they're bound to pop in here soon.
not really here

Yup, I'm veggie and the food is always great. Not really had to think about vegan but I think there should be some.

Oh and if you're camping, the campsite cafe is not great for veggie stuff so you might want to bring your own breakfast if you can. They do do a veggie breakfast (which I think is just the meat breakfast without the meat) and other stuff so there is stuff to eat but it's not that great. We usually have breakfast there on the Monday to avoid having to wash up while we're packing up with a hangover but cook our own breakfast the rest of the weekend.

We'll have some veggie and vegan options again. It's a pretty small festival, so only a few caterers, but we do try.

Gopals will be back again, and they sell vegan curries. There's also a cafe that sells both vegan and veggie options, including hot meals and rolls. We'll have a burrito stand with a veggie option and a new pizza van with a veggie option. And there's Carnival of Food, which is hot dogs and burgers etc - it's been coming for 8 years but I can't remember if it does veggie burgers or anything?

Also, you're welcome to bring your own food and drink on site, just no alcohol please (a license restriction).

Hi - sorry to derail the conversation (no pun intended, I promise) but seeing as this thread was looking lively I just wanted to put out a feeler for anyone driving up from London who might be up for giving me a lift?

Train tickets up are looking pretty steep and so if there's anyone looking to cut down on petrol costs or help save the planet do let me know!

Ta, really looking forward to my first Indietracks! (long time compilation listener, first time attendee...)

Does anyone know if there will be a timetable of trains to Swanwick in advance, or is it going to be just a case of turning up at Butterley a bit before the start time and hoping for the best? I think I get confused about this every year. I do normally manage to get there though, so maybe it's not worth worrying about (I did have to walk it once and got covered in mud, mind you).

Can the first person there tweet a picture of the sign with times on it please? Think some people have done this in the past and it's pretty handy.

I just noticed on the main Anorak page the description under this forum still says "26-28 July 2013". I don't know if anyone feels like updating that.
