Hi-de-hi! Campers?

Post by Trev » Wed Jul 09, 2008 14:17

It seems all the travel lodges have threads - so I'd thought I'd start one for the campers. It'd be great to set up camp by you all and have late night camp parties (were fires allowed?).

So hands up if you're camping!

We arrive Friday afternoon (last count, Me, Mrs Trev, Tom and Amy (Amy- you still planning to travel in our car?)) - in time to get a little lubricated for the MJ Hibbett popfun in rock life thing.

i'm heading down with the Town Bike gang on Friday evening and we're all camping!

As far as i know there's me, Town Bike (Sarah, Charlie, Morgan and Janey) and maybe one or two others. Can't wait!

is there something going on on the friday evening then? i should imagine brain lubrication will certainly be happening with us too.

For the 1st 100 ticket holders - MJ Hibbett is previewing his life in rock which is gonna be on at the Edinburgh Fringe festival - am sure there will be other things going on as well.

Oh cool... although since i've scavved onto Town Bike's guest list spot, i have no idea whether we'll be eligible. but i imagine we'll figure all that out when we get there!

Looking forward to it immensely anyway.

I'm camping! I aim to arrive sometime on Friday. Possibly in the late morning - just in time for a beer or two!

Me and my mate Pete are camping too. Not sure yet what the tent looks like it, but look out for two "old enough to know better" sorts, and come and say 'hello'. I think we'll be there 10ish on saturday morning. I'd heard Mr. Hibbett had sold out (arf, arf)!

I'm camping!

I was originally going to be there on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, but now I'll be in Nottingham on Friday night so I'll just be around for Sat and Sun.

How many are camping on the Friday night that don't have tickets for Friday night (including people in bands)?

Please speak up.

If there are enough we *might* be able to either

a) organise an alternative local night

or

b) if the weather's nice use the outdoor stage so we're not restricted in size

i think i am a friday nighter too. when all those saturday-sunday losers arrive i'll tell them how much better it was before they got there. actually, i won't because i don't want a smack in the face.

Ian Pop Kid will be there on Friday without a ticket too. I told him to speak up but he's too busy thinking about Swedish groupies.

Hey Jamonbread,

I booked my place at the camp site on Tuesday and they still had pitches available then. Might be worth giving 'em a call on 01773 513881.

Good luck!

Unfortunately not. We looked at formally allowing camping, but it was far too much paperwork / organisation on top of what we're already doing.

Sorry!

We're not camping for the festival, but I was just putting some stuff in our shed and while I was in there I fished out my camping gear.

If anyone wants to borrow it (and will look after it), then do get in touch.

I have a two-person tent, a one-ring camping stove (though I'm not sure how much gas is left in it) and a couple of camping pans, none of which I'm going to be using.
