The weather pessimism thread

Post by sweepingthenation » Thu Jul 24, 2008 3:58 pm

Metcheck reckons up to an inch of rain between 10am and 7pm Saturday and steady showers all day Sunday, while the Met Office site speculates thunder Saturday and heavy rain Sunday.

Accuweather thinks it might be quite dry on Sunday, though.

Earlier in the week, metcheck were predicting a gloriously sunny day on Saturday - I'm going to hold them to it!

oh god we're all going to die.

bloody indiepop pansies. i remember the great indietracks chilly westerly breeze of xmas '06. fourteen people had to have an emergency infusion of cup-a-soup. it was like the somme but worser. but we lived to fight another day.

this is music scene based mostly upon wearing unfashionably practical items of weather resistant clothing. get a grip. think on. take a chillax pill, blood. i for one will be partaking in the layering of clothing and may possibly purchase a plastic poncho.

onwards indie soldiers. this is our woodstock. we'll be boring the arses off young people for years to come with the stories of when pete green stood atop a decommisioned GNLR 2 stroke 32 valve diesel and played the entirity of myspace fucking sucks with just his nipples. fuck the weather.

i am excited. my excitement just kicked in. i felt it. i had to go the toilet. this isn't remotely the right thread but. eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee. eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee. eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee. C'MON. eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee. C'MON. eeeeeeeeeeeeeeee.

Sam cursed the weather with his talk of 'shorts' at lunch time. Plenty of time for the Met office to have a rethink, methinks

I'm hoping Ian Parallelogram will repeat his outfit from last year's indietracks - wellies and a towel and nothing else...

I won't be impressed if I leave the windswept, barren Western Isles bathing in sunshine to find it pissing down in that there down south!

I may bring one item of clothing with a hood with me. That's my limit!

Same here. T-shirt and shorts rain or no rain! I have been in Southend the past two days. It's a nicer place in the blazing sunshine!

You should all fly over to Brasília next year for Indietracks 2009. There won't be a drop of rain here for the next 2 or 3 months. Air humidity is around 15% righ now.
New Postal Blue single out now on Cloudberry Records.
There are still copies of our Road to Happiness CD-EP here.
