Is it too early to get this thread going again? I'm praying for a dry one so I can sit down lots and rest my stupid leg. Adam Hobbes has offered to bring me a chair and a foot stool if its wet though. You'll all have them next year.

Must be time for this to return...
remaining generally unsettled with periods of rain or showers which could be heavy and thundery at times, but also spells of drier, sunny weather, with these most likely to develop in the south. The very warm and humid conditions will tend to ease with temperatures generally returning to around average, but it will be still be warm or very warm in the south and east at times.

I think it's going to be around 22/23 (of what? I do not know) on the Friday and Saturday with intermittant but not heavy rainfall on the Friday and slightly less on the Saturday... I think Sunday is mostly breezes and fishfall

I can tell all this because my knee seizes up in a very specific way

You should get your knees a job on the telly: "and now over to Andy's knees for the weather".

The forecast that's just been on reckons there might be some thunderstorms around at the end of the week, but the Met Office clings to:
there is likely to be plenty of fine and dry weather around, especially across the northern half of the UK. More showery conditions generally affecting southern parts, which potentially could be heavy and thundery at times. Temperatures remaining warm or very warm for many across the UK and perhaps locally hot in places.

If you look back to start of this thread, we were all convinced it was going to shit it down with rain in 2008, and attendees of that year may remember that it was hotter in Amber Valley than it was on the planet Mercury that weekend, plus there were miniature tornadoes.

So yeah, I had a point somewhere but forgot what it was.

If it rains it's OK - we won't melt :)

Weather Updates

Could this be the hottest Indietracks ever, beating that Death Valley experience of a 5ish years ago?

I'm readying myself to get the blacklung from dancing in a dustbowl.

If it is as hot as reports suggest we may suffer an influx of jellyfish, it was on the news, Derbyshire's particularly affected, they just float around causing mayhems and you shouldn't touch their stingers because that's what stings you

So, yeh, lather up in jellyfish repellent or rue the day

Less misinformation please. The diver was attempting to salvage Eric Pickles' bowl of noodles which he'd flung in the Thames in a fit of pique after spilling some soy sauce on his tie.

Looks like it's other people who are getting the red numbers, while...

"Friday fine and warm inland, often cloudier on coasts. Saturday becoming cloudy with showers or longer spells of rain. Sunny spells and isolated showers on Sunday, and feeling less warm."

I'll stop now.

Shorts and T-shirts all weekend. Possibly sandals too. You have been warned.

Well, the graphic looks a lot better than it has, but the text bit for the whole region at the bottom still mentions showers. At least it's going to peak at 24 tomorrow, I was at a festival last year in 30 degrees and it wasn't a nice experience. (I also went the previous year, where it was so wet large parts of the ground were covered in standing water by the last morning. I didn't go this year)

You disappoint me.

You've restored my faith in miserability, Trev. For that I thank you. From the bottom of my bitter heart.
