I think we're all leavign it to chance, aren't we? I always see Anoraks and then get introdiced to more Anoraks (and non-Anoraks) at Indietracks.

Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!
I am struck speechless by the nape of your neck.

Sudden, mildly panicked thought - there's not a ticket to be sent out, is there? The printed page when the ticket was ordered is enough, isn't it?

I hope so, as this is all that I have too!

Even so, I should imagine turning up with the card you paid with should be enough.

There's a link to your ticket in the booking confirmation email you receive (sender: Midland Railway - Butterly <data[at]midlandrailwaycentre.co.uk>; subject: Your Booking), if you need to reprint it.

let it ride wrote:I AM SO EXCITED!

I'm making an effort to listen to the bands before-hand this year, normally there are only 2 - 5 I know of, and then I just play it by ear (literally - I wander around talking to people I know and bump into until I hear something I like, and then I just follow the music). I thought it might be fun knowing a bit more this year! Can't believe this is my 3rd year already... time goes so fast!

Even if most of the music isn't quite my taste most of the time, I always come away from Indietracks feeling such love and happiness over the general DIY ethos and the strong, independent scene that exists for this sort of music, and mushy feelings for all the fans/musicians/etc whose passion means that it can be spread into all kinds of places, club nights, gigs, fanzines and events all over the world.

Even though I'm not quite sure where (if) I fit into all of that, I know how fantastically valuable it is to know there are others who like what you like. It's a great feeling! And I always come away having seen tons of friends, some really great gigs, and hopefully made some new friends. How can you not love that?
And how can we not love you? Beautifully, wonderfully put, Astrid. :-)

I'm frightened of listening all the bands I don't know yet, it would make more clashes. But if I don't I'm gonna regret it in the future. Oh well.

This is why I both love and hate the Indietracks CDs in equal measure.

It's the noise pop kids make when they're too excited to form sentences.

Right, I'm off to get the train to Leicester now, on the way to Indietracks on Saturday. Have a nice time on Friday, those who are there, and I look forward to seeing you on Saturday, for some pleasant times and maybe a drink or two.

Or, to put it another way:

EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
