Can't wait

Ticket bought and camping booked.

VERY excited now. Left it late to decide whether I was coming and the proximity of it all makes it even more exciting.

I'm on my own again this year cos Adam is on honeymoon and my girlfriend isn't an indiepop fan, so look after me won't you.

My wife does not even know what Indiepop is but I am bringing her along. My daughter is very excited, especially in regards to seeing Northern Spies.

We're now officially a year on from Indietracks 2012. These are the longest days.

Rancid Tikes?

Dinkier Cats?

Nastier Dick?

What's your favourite?

'certain kids'

'catkins ride'

'snack tidier'

'and stickier'

'retains dick'

all seem to capture some of the essence of the indietracks experience... in this punter's opinion

also:

'insert a dick'

Trained Sick, surely?

A Cider Stink
Knits a Cider
Raciest Kind
Inkiest Card

but not Rain Sticked. That's far too hippy.

I often plug musical shenanigans on the BHAFC forum “North Stand Chat”. I recently started a thread called Indietracks Festival 2013 and Super-Bargain Compilation, expecting a single response along the line of “never heard of any of them”. However, it seems to have taken a life of its own and has sprawled quite nicely, whilst a mod has amended the thread title.

I have now linked to Anorak via NSC, and to NSC via Anorak. Does this mean that something somewhere has gone meta. Or something?

We should have a competition: who can persuade a complete stranger that they should attend Indietracks? Or not.

Hey we got a mention!

What a smashing thread. Was there no indication of the depth of indiepop knowledge on there beforehand?

I loved the confessional tone of the comment "I have 42 Sarah records 7". Sort of Indiepop Anonymous.

Nope, not that I saw. I think the last thread I started asking about poster's favourite new bands of 2012 (I chose Jo Gruesome, Playlounge and Spook School) drew exactly zero posts, even after I bumped it.

I very rarely bother posting on the footie threads as everything I want to say has generally been said before by someone else.

Oh golly, this time next week I'll be contemplating what shoes to wear, whether to take two pairs or three, even

And then I'll probably have some lunch

I can barely contain myself and it's a week away

This time next week I'll be fat guy goes nutzoid

or just plain 'zoid

Nobody else feeling what I'm feeling? nobody else remotely excited?

You're all so self-contained

I'm excited! I'll be on a train this time next week. Always love the anticipation of that journey.
And I only have 1 day of work between now and then. And 2 great gigs!

Fuck yeah! Can't wait to get on that groovey train with a bunch of fellow pop-kids of various ages.

Very excited indeed with the only downer being the split between Travelodge and Premier Inn... I'm dreading rival factions forming and opposing pits forming at the front of the main stage.
