Ripley Premier Inn

Post by jayen_aitch » Tue Mar 23, 2010 8:15 pm

Having noticed the price rise on the good ol Alfreton 'lodge this year (maybe all the cheap tickets went already) Astrid and I are signed up for the Premier Inn at Ripley.

It's cheaper and it looks nice.

We're massive turncoats.

Who's with us?

Yeah! Ripley!

I was wondering if they did in room wifi... who knows... they certainly do food there, so I imagine it's not too big a leap to bringing it to rooms.

I'm going to be setting up my gas stove and cooking beans on it to get the full festival experience.

We might do this instead of paying for rip-off camping.

We're only staying the one night... maybe you should see if you can share a room with someone.

Me and the missis are in.

I'm getting more excited by the minute! Do they have a late bar?

Me and a friend are still trying to book the camping (just near, would be easier to party after the gigs) but if it fails we'll surely book Premier Inn. I'm just scared about the distance - google maps says 3 miles from the festival site, not an easy walk in the darken countryside when you're drunk. Good to know that indiepop fans will be there too.

Well it's only one and a bit miles from Butterley station, which is an easy hop to the festival, if that helps.

me and a friend are pondering on this too(arriving on sat) although check in is 2pm and I don't wanna miss any of the bands. Campsite would've been a bit easier to avoid doing that.

I guess the two options are... don't bother checking in, call them to let them know you will be arriving good and late, and then just pitch up after the last band... or duck out for a bit to check in.

that's a good point, I hadn't thought of checking in late and I wouldn't have much stuff with me. My mate isn't as obsessive as me when it comes to seeing as many bands as possible to maybe I can send him there to do it before the end.

The Ripley Premier Inn is right next to Sainsbury's so you can all go and have their delightfully named Morning Glory breakfast. I'm jealous.
