No, definitely bring a sleeping bag - and a coat and a hat and a scarf, preferably.

Don't want to get all mumsy etc., but camping in Britain is *always* a bit chilly at night, and past festivals where I've packed on the basis of "hey, what the hell, it's the summer, and I'll have had a few drinks so I'll sleep ok" have not been a lot of fun.

A good sleeping bag is the BOMB. I used to use some kids one I'd had since I was about 8, and always froze to death. Finally invested in a proper camping sleeping bag, and it was like birthday and Christmas all at once.

I was at Golden Valley last week Dennis and even though it was mild overnight a sleeping bag was still required. In 2011 it was red hot during the day but really chilly at night even with a beer cardigan.

Alright, alright. Thanks! I'll throw out some zines and make space for my sleeping bag.

Dennis, if you want to save space, try fastening your sleeping bag into the top of your rucksack, kind of like this dude.

I'll leave my bag at home and take a suitcase instead. Very uncamping like, and a first, but for various reasons it's more practical this time.

Is anyone bringing a frisbee? Yes, a frisbee. It's fun! I can't find mine.

I'm quite serious. I like frisbee.

Ralph might be bringing his. I'm sure he'll let you play with it.

I kept my clothes on, wrapped myself tightly in a blanket, then got in my sleeping bag. It was still parky and I had a cold nose.

Breakfast at the railway. Spend your money there. Veggie & gluten free food too.

Hope everyone's tents managed to stay fairly dry inside. Not pleasant to be changing out of wet clothes in dark tent. Walking back with the lightning flashing damn close by, was a terrifying if, ahem, electrifying experience.

I have a feeling there'll be a couple of shorted out sockets via wet hairdryer before the mornings out....

Just had my annual camping booking panic, but all's well.

I must say, the Golden Valley people I've spoke to/emailed have been super lovely.

Me and Adam are camping so two thirds of Hobbes will be there. I got the tent and camping stuff out over a week ago.
