Yep, crap drive for me too. However I'm now ON THE TRAIN from Butteley! Wooooooh! Surrounded by groovy international pop kids and feeling a bit square! Ah well...

Stupid wedding - now we are poor and cannot afford weekend tickets to Indietracks, but we will be there tomorrow (hurrah), so hopefully see some of you then!

Eeeeeeeeeeeee!!!! Loved the meet-up, I did.

I think any fears anyone might have had that we'd all point at each other and go, "Oh hi, you're [person x] off of Anorak, are you?", followed by minutes of awkward silence, were fairly quickly allayed. Or maybe it was just me who worried about that in the first place. It's me nerves, dear.

Either way, delighted to put faces to names / piccies / avatars and then to keep bumping into those - increasingly suntanned, increasingly grinning - faces all weekend. Yay for meet-ups!

It was lovely to meet a few new folks, late as I was, having taken the most ridiculous of routes from the travelodge and fallen into the festival through a hedge with my brother about 45 minutes after I had hoped to arrive.

Sorry I didn't get to meet you gc. I saw your name badge in the shed a little later on and was going to congratulate you on the Henderson's Relish T shirt you were sporting, but you vanished into the throng before I managed to.

I then bitterly reflected that I couldn't resupply on Hendies as I've been hand-luggage only this time. Before catching my train to Stansted this morning I did check masochistically if they stock it at the Alfreton Tesco, but they don't, which is good as now I don't feel like I am missing out.airly quickly allayed. If you are who I think you are, we saw you at breakfast this morning- you went to join Pete & Marianthi. We were sitting at the table behind. Will say a proper hello at the Nottingham all-dayer:)

Well, I think I might have been guilty of a bit of that. As you say, it's the nerves that do it. Still, it was great to meet some people, and special thanks to Ray for sharing his suncream (and zine), even though I then 'jizzed it over the floor' (the cream, not the zine) as he put it! Saved me from spending the Sunday as red as Dan Pocketbooks.... heh.

I managed to get to this, but inevitably found myself speaking to a bunch of people I already know. It was nice to meet tweetotal, graysonscolumn, tonieeee and jayen_aitch though... and I'm sure I met other folks too, but those are the guys I'm pretty sure I hadn't met before. Next year we should properly do name badges and stuff though - props to graysonscolumn for his, by the way.

Much like Mr Andy up there, I missed this too; due to last minute contact lens issues (not mine) that led to a long walk to Ripley. But I suspect most people know what I look like anyway.

I made it, was stupidly hungover and tired, spoke to 3 people I'd already met/knew, continued to scowl at the edge of the crowd for a few minutes, then went into the church to wait for Moustache of Insanity.

Sorry. I blame getting to the campsite early with a backpack full of beer on Friday afternoon. And then drinking it all.

It's a shame we didn't meet - you only live just up the road from me! (I live in Brockley)

I was planning on coming to this but a combination of having to wait longer than expected for a taxi and then waiting a while for the train meant it wasn't to be. Glad some people made use of it.

Lovely to meet various people on Saturday morning - enjoyed chatting to graysonscolum, northernlight, bulgariandisco, sweepingthenation, tonieee, (and more briefly) Dan Pop-o-matic, Carys, Marianthi and Pete G. Also chuffed to own an Anorak badge, and will wear it proudly!

The hilarious thing is I forgot all about it and turned up by accident. Met Grayson's column, though - and some other lovely people whose names escape me. Someone tried to give me an anorak badge but I already had one
five to six, that's what the time is.

Darn. I'd love to meet all the southeast London anoraks. See you next year, if not sooner on the 171.

What a brilliant idea this was! So nice to meet new people, old people and some people properly for the first time. I was sorry I didn't get a proper chat to Carys, but we had a lovely catch up with Russ and got to thank Simon from sweeping the nation in person for a great night on Thursday.

Humblebee was an absolute gent and made us feel so welcome and I was so overcome by grayson's amazing badge-making skills I completely forgot to ask him about his love of Tiswas (maybe next year)! Thank you too to toniee for all the kind words about Confetti and The Sunbathers and apologies to the people we didn't get to speak to (I was really looking forward to asking moopind his views on the weather!).

This has to become a regular thing surely!
