Is there any benefit to applying early? Was hoping to get some new stuff recorded before doing all that.

We'll probably start contacting bands in Dec/Jan, so you've got a bit of time!

I forgot to mention Soda Fountain Rag.
They're awesome and I've discovered them thanks to London Popfest. Yay.

if the budget stretches, I'd like to see:

sea lions
sourpatch
tunabunny
orca team
the twerps
robert forster
the clean
summer cats
calvin johnson (in some form or other)
kendl winter
the maxines
fabienne delsol
the pastels
comet gain

there's more but, y'know...

obviously pocketbooks and hibbett have to play and milky wimpshake should be invited back for being so kind and full of grace and cutting their set a couple of songs short last year

oh, and two old dears spinning some, um, discs outdoors to add 'atmosphere' between turns... I'm sort of hoping that's all agreed upon because I understand they're doing canadian air force exercises and making lists in readiness

Well that's very nice of you to say, but the 'no two years in a row' rule applies to us too!

That'd be ace if you & Murray are still up for it! It'll probably just be a case of handing some mix CDs to the sound men. The difficulty will be actually getting them played, but maybe we can have it written into their contracts or something!

I'm realising now that there's very little chance of it being done before the closing date, so I'll just get on with it.
And, yes, Colour Me Wednesday should obviously play.

The initial closing date we gave is likely to be extended a bit, if that helps!

I've been listening to the Orca Team ep/lp (whatever it is) solidly for the last four or five days and it's sent me mildly loopy (in a good way). I'd love to see them play next year.

My heart is (predictably) a little bit broken by this. Just a little bit. Also by the fact that Butcher Boy and HSOL both played last year. Sob.

(I could be cheered up by Allo Darlin or Jens Lekman, just saying.)
I'm Emma. Insert Field Mice reference here.

A list of bands I'd love to see at Indietracks (and who I think didn't play last year):

One Happy Island
Cars Can Be Blue
The Rosie Taylor Project
The Blanche Hudson Weekend
MJ Hibbett with his Validators
The Parallelograms
Times New Viking
The Humms
Falling and Laughing
Hummousexual
Trash Kit
Nat Johnson and the Figureheads
Jonathan Richman
The Magnetic Fields (I can dream can't I?)
Tigercats
Moustache of Insanity
The School
Brilliant Colors
Girls Names
Kid Canaveral
The Give It Ups

(and more that I forget)
not really here

That would be really amazing!

It's been a while since The Middle Ones played so could they play please?

And isn't it it about time The Field Mice played indietracks?

I'd also like to see Colour Me Wednesday, The Sunbathers and Shark Teeth.

And if we could break the two year rule I would like The Wendy Darlings and Ace Bushy Striptease to play. And it should be indietracks law that The Pocketbooks open the festival on the Friday every year from now on.

And please can you only put rubbish bands on after about 5pm on Sunday as we'll probably have to leave. Thank you!

I think that is a lovely idea and fully support it.

I can't help it; every song I play, be it on the record player, laptop, Ipod, or in the car, I consider whether it's Indietracks-friendly, whether it'd sound better earlier or later, what it should be played straight after, what it should be before and so on and on and on... whilst doing star jumps and one-armed press-ups. In a flak jacket.

ERM YES PLEASE.

Also, yes, Tullycraft please, who also seem a bit more realistic as an option than The Field Mice (though wouldn't Trembling Blue Stars be feasible potentially?)

Tell you who'd be a good 'outsider' for shed headliner-or-thereabouts, Summer Camp.
