There's a Without Feathers/Lovely Eggs/Martha overlap that'll cause some brow furrowing here, plus the usual church size/heat concerns. Otherwise pretty decent.

Biggest clash for me is Martha/Ballet/The Fireworks. Looks great though!

How does the train work? Where do we need to get on? It is just that Northern Spies is on the train first thing on Saturday morning and my daughter would be very angry with me if we missed that.

Also, how packed does the train get?

It leaves from Swanwick Junction inside the main festival site - trundles off, stops, then comes back. The train shows can be busy - depends on who is playing and clashes and that, so sometimes they're less busy.

I've been studying the timetable hard and I think I've figured out which bands I want to see:

All of them.

Sunday evening seems to be the worst for me, but it never really matters in the end!

My draft plan (I don't think I'll follow it 100%, I usually like to make a plan like this before festival but I know there are many factors that won't me let stick to it completely):

12.30 Northern Spies
13:00 - 13:40 Finnmark!
13:40 - 14:20 The Art Club
15:00 - 15:40 Pale Spectres
16:00 - 16:40 Fever Dream
17:00 - 17:40 When Nalda Became Punk
17:40 - 18:20 The Secret History
18:40 - 19:20 The Wave Pictures
19:40 - 20:40 The Pastels/20:20 - 21:15 Haiku Salut (depending how much I'll be enjoying The Pastels and if there's still room in the church for Haiku Salut)
21:15 - 22:15 Camera Obscura

12.30 Pete Green
14:00 - 14:40 anaesthetics
15:00 - 15:40 Alpaca Sports
16:20 - 17:00 The Soulboy Collective
17:00 - 17:40 Making Marks
18:00 - 18:40 The Ballet
19:00 - 19:40 The Lovely Eggs
20:15 - 21:10 Helen Love
21:15 - 22:15 Still Corners

My thought would be that watching Haiku Salut in the church would mean missing The Pastels entirely to stand a chance of getting in.

I'd never heard of Still Corners until they were added to the Indietracks line-up? Are they any good? I can't check any of their stuff out at work.

I was thinking maybe the church would get emptied so the techs could set up the light show in the break before HS. But I'm probably wrong...

They're alright. Signed to Subpop (they don't sound like a subpop band, to me). Lostmusic put them on yonks ago at the Gramaphone when they had a different lead singer.

That was around Indietracks too wasn't it Trev? With The Zebras, Je Suis Animals and Red Pony Clock if i recall (i'm here for all your Lostmusic/Oddbox show archiving!)

Interesting slot for them, it should be a pleasant comedown after Helen Love. They're a nice band to just sit around and listen to. (I think i'm verging on describing them as background music - but i dont want to as i actually really like them)

Helen Love's the real Sunday headliner surely? and team indietracks have done the right thing by putting them on in the shed.

(in this punters opinion)
and that snare drum, that drum roll
means we've got a winner

My rough schedule.

Is turn up on Saturday. Head to the bar and see where I land.

Bands I don't wanna miss include:

Saturday: The McTells, Cars Can Be Blue, Fever Dream, Woog Riots, The Choo Choo Trains, David Leach
Sunday: Good Grief, Flowers, Lardpony, Kid C, Frozy, Martha, Without Feathers, Helen Love

Some of these will fail due to clashes.

And I know I'll end up on the merch stand at some point, despite saying I won't do it this year.

Some sets I've written off because they're in the Church and I can't see myself getting in!

I can not remember. Think it might've been. No clue really.

Just looked it up on Songkick, the show you're thinking of was at The Gramaphone but it wasn't the lostmusic one. We had Still Corners a few months before that at the venue....

The Lostmusic one was:

10th April 2008: Phil Wilson / Pocketbooks / Postcards / Still Corners

Ah, fair enough! i was at the lostmusic one too, that was a great night, Phil Wilson and Pocketbooks doing Lee Remmick was ACE

Back to 2013 though, just had a quick scan of the line up and aside from the Pastels / Haiku Salut overlap, i'm more than happy.. Might even get to do the quiz this year.

I'm writing off seeing anyone in the church or on the train, should be able to see bands on the outdoor and shed stage... not going to torture myself by planning in advance, just whoever I get to see, it's indietracks, it'll be awesome whatever
