I believe this has the same chords as the chorus of 'What Do We Do Now' and the whole of 'Sleep The Clock Around'. Mash-up!

Betty and the Werewolves - David Cassidy. Particularly the shouty bit at the end.
Some Deirdres. Preferably "Claire....." but "Fun to pretend" or "Milk Is Politics" would do just as well
The Moldy Peaches - Who's Got The Crack? (if it counts as Indiepop. It does in my world)
and I guess this is obvious but The Magnetic Fields - The Luckiest Guy On The Lower East Side

Ooh yes! That's one of my favourites - I'll see if I can find time to work it out.

Defo Who's Got The Crack as it's dead easy. Deirdres would be great too if we have time to work it out.

The New Teller by Jonathan Richman and the Modern Lovers? It's got hand claps and a key change and everything.

The last time I saw Misty's Big Adventure they handed out lyric sheets for We Wish You A Wombling Merry Christmas and insisted that everyone sing along. It was an unmitigated success, although, to be fair, it was December at the time.

This.
And we just can't wait to make more mistakes and to fluff our breaks, and to stuff our faces with cake.

Is this strictly indiepop? If not, I'd like something by the Ramones, like 'Judy is a punk'. And 'Magnificent dreams' by Television Personalities.

I love that we're getting a whole range of styles of songs suggested here. The only sad thing is that we'll only have probably 30-40 minutes to bash out as many as possible!
Perhaps one day there'll be a indiepopsingalong-athon and then we can fit all the requests in.....
The 'set-list' is being honed and the lyric sheets printed over the next couple of days, so you won't have too long to wait to see what's in store!

Clearly there is a need for an indie karaoke at future indietracks!

I'm still waiting to hear markie sing this:

perhaps I could request that here... and tonieee and markie can play each of the hayleys (sharon or susan), you can decide which is which

Ha! I had the exact same thought when I was tinkering with Sapphire the other day! Well, the Sleep The Clock Around bit anyway - surely WDWDN? deserves to stand alone?

They are both quintessentially indiepop. Judy is now nestled in our Dropbox of joy ready for singingalong to.

It's very indiepop and it's now happily snuggled into a straw-lined corner of the Dropbox of songs.

I'm bringing my digital recorder to record some interviews and banter for my next podcast. Could I record some of the singalong and use it on my podcast? Any objections? ...Mind you, it might send the sound meters on my recorder off the scale and just be a distorted mess!!

The Sheffield singalongs are great fun so this will be immense! And this time I promise we won't make everyone sing Take That like we did a couple of months ago.

It's too late for new suggestions, isn't it?
