Friday Morning Queues?

Post by Neil and Nik » Tue Jul 23, 2013 12:20

First time camping.... does a queue build up on the road outside Golden Valley before the site opens at 11am?

No, not really. A lot of people don't get there until around 4pm.

The biggest queue I've encountered was a whole three cars deep.

Tip about queues in the camping. There are two buildings with showers and toilets and in the morning, when you go out of your tent, you'll find queues for the closest one. Just go to the other one, another 30 seconds walk downwards, and you'll find no queues at all. At least, that's what happened to me last year. Another OT tip: about mobile battery recharging, you'll find plenty of plugs in the café and some in the showers/toilets buildings. And, don't worry about hair dryers too: they are next to the mirror in both buildings.

Hi Barto, thanks for the heads up, my wife and I stayed there during May just to check it out so we are familiar with the layout and how things work.... we had a good time and found the campsite to be very well run.

Cheers

Neil
