Anybody coming to Indietracks from Sweden?

Post by gareth go ape » Tue Jul 23, 2013 15:40

I'm sure there are! I was wondering if anyone coming from Sweden could do me a massive favour? I like the singer Miss Li and her CDs are very difficult to buy in the UK. Amazon hardly ever stock them, and even on eBay there aren't very many. Bit of a long shot, but would anyone from Sweden consider buying me a couple of Miss Li CDs and I'll pay you back? I'm DJing midnight - 3am in the campsite disco tent on Saturday night, so you can find me there.

Ideally I'd like to get the double CD 'best of' (it's now only available on download on Amazon for £15!) and her latest album 'Tangerine Dream' (there's one copy for £20 on eBay, but I'm guessing buying a copy in Sweden would be cheaper??).

I'm sure nobody can help me here, but just thought I'd ask! I only own one of her albums and I would like to get more, but they're very hard to obtain in the UK! If you can help, my email is garethgoape at ya hoo dot co dot uk

Thanks!

Gah, if only I had seen this before the weekend, I totally could have done this.

Sorry, I'm on a road trip for work just now and not going to be back in Stockholm (during record shop opening hours) before coming to the UK. If that somehow changes, I will let you know.

I think I am stopping for lunch in Gothenburg tomorrow. I have no idea where they hide their record shops, but if I happen to pass one, I will enquire within and post the results here.

(I won't be able to get into the campsite, but I am sure we can manage some other delivery method).

Just saw your post about the Travelodge. If you should happen to find a Miss Li CD, I'm staying at the Travelodge too, despite DJing at the campsite on Saturday. And hope you find two others to share with you! Good luck!

I honestly did give it a go today... I went to two record shops in Gothenburg... one didn't have it, and the other didn't seem to exist at the advertised address, sorry. I don't think I will be back in Stockholm while the record shops are open tomorrow. Sorry, Sweden failure.

I'm in Sweden in September and could possibly post a copy from the UK when I get back... not sure if it'll end up much cheaper than ordering it online, I remember Swedish record stores being REALLY expensive...

Mmm, I did wonder about that too, they are pretty costly here. Almost everything is.
