Brief discussion about Prolapse reforming 'twixt Lostinindiepop, Humblebee, Tonieee and myself this lunchtime.

The basic thrust of the conversation was:

1) Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!

2) Shoo-in for an Indietracks appearance, surely?

3) With the rigours and passing of time and that, who would win in a fight between Linda and Scary Mick now?

But mostly 1).

In addition to my usual annual litany of geographically/economically unlikely big hitters (Jonathan Richman, The Bats, The Clean, The Feelies, Shonen Knife..), let me also suggest the following slightly more realistic contenders:

Habibi
Charla Fantasma
Cat Smell
Ethical Debating Society
Flemmings
Dog Chocolate
As Ondas
Helen Love (AGAIN!)
Comet Gain (SECOND CHANCE!)

and, why the hell not, Prolapse.

I've been thinking and off the top of my head I reckon -

The Ethical Debating Society
Homosexuals
Eight Rounds Rapid

They'd be great!

Also, what are the chances of having The Pains of Being Pure at Heart play again? I love those guys so much and haven't seen them play since they did Indietracks '10!

Turns out these are support for Mogwai's big 20th anniversary dates (Barrowlands and Roundhouse respectively), so still no news of their own gigs.

Gah. I am churlishly irked by that. Now it becomes a decision of whether it's worth 200 quid plus to schlep down/up country to see Prolapse in a support slot. (Probably not is the answer....)
So yes, Prolapse for Indietracks please.

That's all I know. One of the Mick's mentioned on Facebook (but no other details). I asked about doing a London show but didn't get a reply!)
