exciting! we might just be able to make this since we're planning on being in toronto the weekend of the 8th. flying london -> toronto -> new york -> london is actually cheaper than doing a plain old london > toronto return! i suppose it's ages away though and it all depends on getting the time off work.

I thought it was in San Francisco this year (that y'all were alternating locations)?

It's about to get all Tupac v. Biggie up in here!

No, no. I think there is enough room in this gigantic country to host both; the west coast really needs a dedicated pop fest! Though it makes it difficult for people who must save $$ + travel to pick just one to go to!
There's more than one use for every part

Oh my. I will be in NYC then, because Sissi is supposed to give birth May 20. Would it be horrible to leave her alone for a bit?

If her reaction is anything like mine to giving birth (flashback: "GO AWAY. I JUST WANT MY MOM! WAAAAAAH!!") then you should be fine to nip out for a bit.

I won't be there, but can I just compliment you on that lineup? There's at least half a dozen bands on there I'd gnaw my own testicles off to see.

I'm getting officially very bloody excited. I was in such dismay about missing indietracks and san fran and then NY came along early (I hate the heat!) and with a dream line up. Thank you, pop Santa Claus!

Suburban Kids With Biblical Names are confirmed for NYC Popfest.

They are headlining the Sunday show at Cake Shop.

Advanced tix have sold out for Sunday, but many more will be available at the door on the day of show.
Advanced tix are still available for Thur, Fri, and Saturday.

Just saw that on facebook--this line up keeps getting better and better! I'm so glad I bought all my tix early.

Oh my, this looks so fantastic. And I'll be only an hour drive away. I'll be in Princeton from May 9 on. I'm still not sure how bad it'll be to leave my pregnant girlfriend behind. It's just a bit too far (what? 1,5 hours?) to hurry back in case the baby decides to come. But it's such a torture knowing this is going on around the corner! It's also impossible to choose which day would be the one to go to.

Marcy, if you want to organize a babyshower (is that what it's called?) for us, we'd like The Smittens, Eux Autres, Rose Melberg, Liechtenstein and Cats on Fire to play please. Ooh, and then Colin and Dana Smitten can play 'Dylan's song'. We'll just ignore that it's not going to be a Dylan. They don't actually mention that name in the song anyway (I think). Ok? Thanks!

Sounds fair to me! I'm coming all the way from Scotland, so they should have at least one band to help me fit in!

I can at least try to rustle you up a smitten and a cake! They're lovely that way those smittens.

Oh, Dennis, you HAVE to come! Seriously 1.5 hours is nothing. If Sissi goes into labor we'll all pitch in for the cab. If she's anything like me, she'll want no one but her mum there anyway!

It's going to be so fun! Does anyone know how late the Sunday show is supposed to go?
It's going to be a looong drive home after SKWBN - I'm planning on making it back in time for work on monday so I can be a reliable employee for a couple days before we fly to San Francisco!

Anyhow, if you make it, Dennis, definitely try to find me - I wanna say hi in person! or good luck with the baby, too! Both, really.

Can't wait to see Rose Melberg!

yow!
