SFPopfest 2010 - May 27 - 30

Post by sfpopfest » Thu Jan 07, 2010 7:50 pm

Popkids:

San Francisco Popfest will make its triumphant return in 2010 from May 28 - 30. Our Friday, May 28 evening show will be at Bottom of the Hill and our Saturday and Sunday, May 29 and 30 evening shows will be at Rickshaw Stop again. We're planning on another free picnic acoustic show for Sunday afternoon and an intimate Saturday afternoon show. We're rounding out a fantastic lineup and will announce some of such soon along with ticket information. In the meantime, join our facebook group to follow the happenings: http://www.facebook.com/#/group.php?gid ... 262&ref=ts. If you're in a band and interested in playing, drop us a line at sfpopfest at gmail dot com.

Hugs and kisses,

SFPopfest crew x

Is anyone from Anorak going to be at this? I can't make my mind up whether to go or not.

Oh no you didn't. NO YOU DIDN'T. I guess it was inevitable; y'all get all the best west coast popmakers! Damn. Damn. I fear I may never see my favourite romantic mathematicians as they don't venture too far from their Seattle home base. *sigh*

I don't know about that... They played two shows in New York when their toured their full length in 2006, even playing New England Popfest that year. Sadly I had my head up my ass and missed them but I'm still holding my breath for NYC Popfest.
Butt.

I'm sorely tempted. Maybe when I go to SF in April I'll just hide until the end of May...

Would love love love to see AGSFB.

BALLS, why why? Oh, cuz they're fr. Washington or something, right? And maybe have kids now or something so don't tour? BALLS. I can't go to SF and Athens. Why oh why not NYC?? And Eux Autres are out in SF now; they'll be there no doubt. I mean, I'm used to no one coming to Boston, but why forsake thee the north east all masters of indie pop--why?

Sorry for resurfacing just to whine. Congratulations on an excellent "get"!

Yup, Eux Autres will be joining us again for this year's festival. We should have a formal announcement of the entire lineup in the next week or two.

We've announced our Friday show at Bottom of the Hill, which will have: Casiotone for the Painfully Alone, Nodzzz, Antarctica Takes It! and English Singles.
