Hee, I'm 90% certain that I'm going to go to this, I can't think of anything better than a week of indiepop, art galleries and New York pizza, exciting!

At the moment though flights from london around that time are £350 return, that seems rather expensive doesn't it? does anyone know if there is a knack to getting cheaper plane tickets? This is probably the wrong place to be asking this, there's probably another thread on this forum.

Flights seem to climb steeply from the start of May which is annoying. They may come down nearer the time though?

I find http://www.kayak.com the best way to find and track flights. If you join (free) it gives you a weekly update of the cheapest fares found for your chosen flight in every month. I dunno if there's a UK version of the site. Good luck!

I think I'm going to fly with fly zoom as I can get a return for just under £300, though I wonder what they're like, budget long haul doesn't sound that appealing, I guess I'll have to have a good book!

Oh I saw on The Cannanes website that they're cofirmed for the popfest, yey!

Wow! If New England is this good (which I'm sure it will be William and Christine!) I'll be full-up for next winter.

The nice thing is that I was planning to be in NYC anyway, somewhere in the beginning of June. I guess I'll have to push that towards the middle of June now!

As I've never been, I have to ask: are all the shows at Cakeshop? Or does it move around?

I believe there are multiple venues? I just remember going to The Knitting Factory last year.
