I'm sure you can get the list - Chris Mac (merch guy and indiepages guy - http://www.indiepages.com) made the mixes that were playing and I'm sure he can provide a track list!

He might have had mixes in 5-year blocks in honor of it being the 5th popfest - so he had mixes for 2008, 2003, 1998, 1993 - at least that's what I recall him saying to me. I loved the in between music, too!

I realized on monday as I was listening to The Weather in Sweden - magnus who was playing in the utah rangers' other band - that magnus was in the Salty Pirates - a band who I have really enjoyed via last fm!
I wish I'd know that 3 days ago - it would have given us somethign else to talk about!

I had a really fun time - and it was good to see a few anorakers there, too! I should have played scrabble, too, but couldn't manage sitting still...
being nice IS a political act!

Thanks to everyone for coming to Popfest! It was a really great time, we miss everyone. I'm composing my blog and getting all of my pix in order. Our flickr is here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/skippingstonesrecords.

Most of my pictures suck and I forgot my camera Friday & Saturday. I'm relying on others to send stuff, so please do! Yoko from Dream Bitches saved my life, her "over-documented" Popfest pix are superb: http://flickr.com/photos/yokokikuchi

I also started a Podcast project - if you were there, please consider submitting a Podcast of a story, experience, song, whatever. It's FREE and all you need is a phone. To contribute call
1-888-65-GCAST (888-654-2278). If outside USA: +1-305-437-8719.
At the prompt, punch in the PHONE # = 203-558-1168
PIN # = S-K-I-P = 7547

Thanks!
christine

Those are some fuckin' excellent mixes! My favorite is probably the 1988 one due to all the Siddeleys/Razorcuts/McCarthy jangly goodness. Dear god! Well done mixmaster Chris.
There's more than one use for every part

oh, thanks for the tracklistings!
and nice photos! I'm jealous that yours and the Dream Bitches pictures came out so well. I can never figure out the settings to not overwhelm everything with the flash.
my blurry ones are up on facebook.

Balloon Fight! Scrabblepop! We clearly missed the best day! Though the bubble tea makes up for missing the balloon fight, what an interesting drink.

Had a really lovely time at the popfest, it was great to catch up with people and meet new ones. A big thank you to William and Christine for their hospitality too.

I must have listened to Sapphire about a hundred million times since, it's such a beautiful bittersweet pop song. You watch it go straight to the top of the last fm charts when I scrobble my ipod.
And by me, I mean, Flexo.
