what? You said you didn't have time for the grossbus? I never would have let you take the grossbus alone. (mostly because I like you but also because I have a secret desire to take the grossbus one day before I die.) Even if we get rides, and you find it cheaper to fly to NY, I'd take the gross bus with you! That goes for you too Lynsey. Grossbus ahoy! I'll bring a flask.

I'm thinking Boston is best if I need to get back on Sunday maybe.

I'm sorry for being so wrong about how you feel about me and gross bus.

i need to know more about this grossbus before i decide whether i want to take it.

i'm trying not to get too involved in any planning because then i might want to shoot myself in the face if/when i can't afford to go.

Surely you have not experienced America if you have not taken a grossbus.

Suffice to say, public transport in America sucks. My cousins-in-law from Italy took the bus from Boston to Niagara Falls. I said to them - "Are you FREAKIN' CRAZY?" They had some lovely memories of a large, snoring woman and so many other amazing, gross tales to tell.

Is the grossbus what I would call the "chicken bus"?

This is getting to be like that whole yetti/big foot/sasquach thing.

I made a last.fm event. I'll add the bands when the official list is posted.

a band list is up (partial)
ticket sales are up
a lodging page is up.

yay!

ps -
even though everything is costing more, we're keeping our ticket prices the same as last year.
we figured that things are costing more for everyone, including the people coming to the popfest. so why not?

Hooray, tickets bought!

I booked the Quality Inn for the Friday. I always think Quality Inns are dubious - they are non-committal in specifying whether it might be good or poor quality. Anyhow, stumbling distance of the venue is good enough for me.

Anyone know what time things are likely to kick off on the Friday?

I'm almost sorry to be missing out on the grossbus. It sounds like an experience.

You are lucky. About the grossbus, I mean. You're also lucky that you can come to Popfest! Doors are at 8 and the shows start about 8:30-ish.

This might seem like a silly question, but if I can't make it to Sunday, should I just buy two single day tickets for Friday and Saturday? (or is there a reason to have a weekend pass besides going all three days). I'm not sure I'm making sense.

Me and Dunc have bought day tickets for the Friday and Saturday, it's quite a few dollars cheaper than a weekend pass. You are making sense. Well I think you are. Am I making sense?

You are! I think I should do the same. I was just wondering if there's anything going on that only people with full weekend passes will be able to attend because of smaller venue capacities or anything. I think there is not...
