Yeah it felt like a Greatest Hits show - but in the best possible way.
Are people still planning on going to the Summer Series this Sunday?

Hey Indiepop Kiwis! Thought I'd check in and see how you're all doing, eh.
Are you all grooving to the Princess Chelsea LP? I haven't heard it yet but it's bound to be just as marvellous as the Teacups I'm sure.
Hope your bleak midwinter isn't as bleak and wintery as high summer is here!
Big hugs to all of you xx

Hi *sniff* Markie *sniff*
Methinks you’re confusing your Chelseas. Princess Chelsea was a member of supremely talented bands Teen Wolf and Brand New Math. She made a small fortune with the jingle to the Auckland - Big Little City television commercial:
...which is actually called Monkey Eats Bananas:
Chelsea Teacup was a member of less talented ensemble The Teacups ;-) She made a small fortune with the jingle to the Telecom Sunrise Sunset television commercial:
Arohanui
Richie Rich
PS there are no longer any indiepop Kiwis ...it was a futile mission and we have now become World Cup Rugby Kiwis.
PPS get me away from here I’m dying.

Hey Markie. How is everything going in Sheffield? Who are you looking forward to seeing at Indietracks? I can't find it now, but one of my favourite Indietracks videos is Cats On Fire doing "Higher Grounds", in 2009 I think. There's this great moment when the camera pans to the crowd and the whole front half is out on the floor, including some top indiepop faces. I'd especially like to see The Garlands and The Math & Physics Club this year. And The Wendy Darlings. And Amor de Dias. And, oh, everything.

Hey Indiepop Kiwis!
Thank you for clearing up my Chelsea confusion Rich. I shall sleep much easier now I have all the facts.
It's the big Indietracks hoo-hah this weekend and it occurred to me that it would be much more splendid with all the NZ popkids there. Save up for flights to the UK this time next year ok?

Don't be scared of that white stuff falling out of the sky, kids. It's just frozen water and it hasn't come to steal your sheep or anything.
Snow in Auckland! Who'da thunk it?!
