When I am listening to this album on my mp3 player whilst comuting to work, I somehow wished that it would pipe out to the whole train too. That's how much I would love the whole world to hear this brilliant album !

I love love love Split Infinitives, I keep listening to it on repeat and even though it's 7 minutes long or something it's not long enough.

re Nico being depressed beyond tablets - A friend of mine put her on in the late 80s, she missed the soundcheck, turned up at the time she was supposed to be onstage, and demanded smack before she would / could play. (the promoter had to send someone out with some cash to find some). Great voice, though!
Cheers!

Darn - I heard someone speculating at Indietracks that the Language of Flowers reunion meant HSOL were no more, and was sceptical of it. Maybe it's nothing to do with it. But still - one of my favourite albums of last year and two brilliant sets when I managed to catch them live, sad to hear there's no more to come.

The Librarians Wanted show they did at the Bull & Gate was one of my favourite shows/nights of last year. So glad I got to see them.

I thought it had been fairly common knowledge for a while now that they'd split up. They've left behind one of the best albums of the last few years in my opinion though.

So sad I never had the chance to see them live, they had cancelled the Italian dates last October. their wonderful tunes will always be remembered with pleasure

I had heard rumours of the split too (around the time of London popfest) but so hoped it wasn't true ...
One of the best albums of the last few years and one of the greatest live bands around ... with one of the most glamorous singers ... they are already sadly missed ...

Gutted to have missed seeing these live. Got tickets for Carefully Planned Festival and Going Up the Country to see these and they cancelled both and now no more. Thanks for the album guys.
