Does this count seeing as Christopher Robin stuffed bear was originally named "Edward" and was later renamed "Winnie-the-Pooh" after a Canadian black bear named Winnie (after Winnipeg)? (Nope I didn't know any of that - just found out on t'net!)

Last month's Doctor Who Magazine had a previously unpublished Jon Pertwee interview in which he talked about how he was friends with the real Christopher Robin as a kid. He told how Roo got left behind after a picnic in the woods and was never found again. This made him cry during the interview. It was very sad.

I'm sure there was a Scandinavian band called Eeyore a few years back.

Pooh had a popgun, so maybe The Popguns?

I play as Floating Bear. Sorry for the self promotion, but it's a top-end Winnie the Pooh reference.

I know it's not a band name but Now We Are! was born out of Christopher Robin's Now We Are 6!

Does that count?

I bought that 7" aged 11 when it was in the charts. My parents banned me from playing it because of the "disgusting" content - at the age of 11 I had no idea that the girl vocalists were meant to be making orgasmic moans. So whenever they went out I would put it on at immense volume.

Mind you, my parents had the last laugh when JK was arrested for child sexual offenses.
Cheers!
