Over the course of the weekend I ate 8 different types of biscuit, only two of which I had bought myself (ginger nut and fruit shrewsbury).

In order of deliciousness, the free biscuits were:

1 Country Crumble
2 Choc Chip Cookie
3 Custard Cream
4 Bourbon
5 Digestive
6 Rich Tea

I would also like to give a special mention to the space invaders. Best breakfast treat ever.
Give over.

I'm stewarding EOTR again this year. Got my application in nice and early to make sure I didn't forget. I'll have to take my own biscuits though now that I'm not allowed gluten. Boo.
Give over.

my wish for end of the road festival (in the least harsh way possible) is that my sister wasn't getting married that weekend.
i went to end of the road 2008 and it was (ashamedly for a 26 year old musician, party fiend and general people lover) MY FIRST FESTIVAL. I can honestly say that weekend was without a doubt the greatest time of my life. And even worse, my band is supporting the wave pictures for the second time this year and were kind of hoping for an in to play at eotr 2009.
gutted.

still, it will be the new greatest time of my life to see my little sister marry the man she loves.

I didn't see any of the headliners last year and had a superb time.

Are there hotels nearby?

I gotta feeling it's gonna be too cold for me to camp in September.

It wasn't what I'd call cold last year, but when it did cool off at night there was lovely hot spicy cider to make it all right. Make sure you take wellies as the site is prone to being a bit muddy!

Whoo, i am off to this tomorrow! There is precisely one band (First Aid Kit) who i really want to see but apparently there is BEER and you're allowed to... discover new bands? Is that right?

Is anyone else going? And, to avoid panic later, does anyone know if there's mobile phone reception?

I'll be there Mark. I don't know many bands either - but am looking forward to it a lot. And the BEER. Just taken a month off from it, so it'll be nice to settle back in gently.

No clue on mobile phone reception.

And I have new wellies. Just in case there is much MUD. The earthy stuff that is, not the 70s bubbleglam popsters.

There should be reception in most areas, from what I recall last year. There is a wide variety of beer and general alcohols. And apparently it's going to be dry and sunny throughout, if cold at night - Twitter information says that it's a little wet underfoot at the moment but should be dry by tomorrow. Meet you by the secret piano in the woods. (edited for already told anecdote)

That was good wasn't it? I liked THESE things:

Veggie Breakfast
The Boy Least Likely To (ACE, never seen before)
The weather
Darren Hayman (ACE, never seen before - which seems a bit ridiculous)
SCRABBLE
Bob Log III (BRILLIANT)
Euros Childs
Lack of noisy wankers in the campsite and indeed everywhere
The Leisure Society (although we only heard them, they sounded GRATE)
First Aid Kit (if a bit underwhelming after me looking forward to them for so long)

I didn't really like THESE things:
The Low Anthem (OH MY GOD THE MOST BORING FESTIVAL BAND EVER)
The Fleet Foxes (CLOSE SECOND)
The beard and checked shirt look which was sported by 40% of people there.
Rather too much "Americana" generally
Ending up going to bed FAR too early due to KNACKERED/PISSED

So all in all: WIN!
