I don't know if anyone is aware of this mini multi venue festival but it deserves supporting. It actualy starts tonight but sadly I can't make it as I've only just got paid and I'm working. Lots of different stuff to see and hear.;

Gŵyl newydd gyffrous – cyfle i brofi amrywiaeth o gerddoriaeth fyw a chelfyddyd, o amglych dinas Bangor, dros bedwar diwrnod.

An exciting new festival – a chance to experience a range of live music and culture, around the city of Bangor, over four days.

About Bang Bangor
Mae gan Fangor lawer o sgiliau a thalent cerddorol - ond nid oes un digwyddiad mawreddog na gŵyl yn bodoli i hyrwyddo hyn.

Ceir yr argraff fod Bangor efallai yn dal ei hun yn ôl yn gerddorol - mae’r adnoddau, talentau, unigolion, grwpiau a mudiadau yma - a’r unig beth sydd ei angen yw uno popeth a'u hyrwyddo mewn modd sy’n codi statws Bangor fel dinas gerddorol a chelfyddydol.

Ein bwriad yw hyrwyddo Bangor fel llwyfan i gerddorion a bandiau ddatblygu eu doniau a pherfformio ac annog artistiaid newydd i chwarae yma.

Nod Bang Bangor yw trefnu 4 diwrnod o ddathlu cerddoriaeth a chelf. Mi fydd Bang Bangor yn gwneud defnydd o leoliadau, tafarndai a chlybiau sy’n bodoli’n barod o amgylch y ddinas i ddarparu llwyfan ar gyfer bandiau addawol, bandiau heb eu harwyddo a rhai wedi’u harwyddo. Nid yn unig y bydd hyn yn gyfle i fandiau berfformio ond hefyd i hyrwyddo Bangor fel lleoliad ffantastig ar gyfer pobl leol, myfyrwyr a phawb i’w fwynhau.

Bydd hyn yn codi proffil Bangor fel dinas gelfyddydol a cherddorol i’r lefel y mae’r ddinas yn deilwng ohoni.

A’r naws? Rhywbeth at ddant pawb - drysau agored - awyrgylch hamddenol lle bydd mwy nag un gig yn chwarae yr un pryd - a genres gwahanol yn denu tyrfaoedd gwahanol yn cynnwys acwstig, roc, cerddoriaeth amgen, gwerinol, indi, hip-hop…beth bynnag…does dim rheol!!! Dim ond cerddoriaeth dda!

Os hoffech fod yn rhan o’r ŵyl hon, yna dewch yn ffrind i ni ar MySpace, Facebook a Twitter, ymweld a'n gwefan neu anfonwch e-bost at !

There’s a lot of skill and musical talent in Bangor – but there’s not been a major event or festival to promote all of this uniqueness.

The perception might be that Bangor is holding back musically – the resources, talent, individuals, groups and organisations are all here – and all that they need is to be brought together and promoted in a way that will give Bangor the musical and cultural status that it deserves.

Enabling the musicians and bands and artists of the city of bangor and using it as a stage to develop and perform, and encourage new acts to play here is what we intend to do.

Bang Bangor’s aim is to organise a 4 or 5 day celebration of music and the arts. Bang Bangor will make use of the venues, pubs and clubs that already exists to provide a stage for up and coming, un-signed and signed bands alike. Not only will this give the bands and artists the opportunity to perform, it will also promote Bangor as a fantastic venue for the locals, students and everybody to enjoy.

This will raise Bangor’s profile as a city of culture and music to the level of that which it deserves.

The vibe? –– something for everybody – doors open – relaxed atmosphere where more than one gig will be playing at the same time – and different genres to attract different crowds including acoustic, rock, alternative, folk, indie, rules!! Just good music!
