Friends Of Mine Festival 2011

http://www.fomfest.com

Figured I'd make my annual single worthless post of the year by asking if anyone is attending this?

It's a new festival.. line up is more miss than hit but with a few notable exceptions (Wedding Present, The Fall, Yuck, Emmy The Great..). The fact it is practically a stones throw from where I live means I feel obliged to give it a chance. Anyone else?

the cribs are playing it! which is probably a good enough reason to go! (not that i'm going, but if it was close by and er...not too expensive, i'd totally go!)
tell me how good it is / to wake from a bad dream / and have someone there and I will tell you / how butterfly wings stay dry in the rain

It's around £90 for a 3 day camping pass. Which is more reasonable that a lot of festivals. Then again - in this era of Global Economic Turmoil and Massive Endless Cuts is not pretty much everything "too expensive"?? Would at least feel happier with a couple more bands I like shoehorned onto the bill.

Hmm.. my need to publicly justify any sort of luxury purchase I make is rather worrying. Join me later when I discuss at length whether it is Pure Evil of me to buy a Tesco finest yoghurt..
