Airport Girl's 'The Foolishness We Create Through Love is the Closest We Come to Greatness.'

What's your best song ever today?

360º by Rozi Plain. Sparse, beautiful, extraordinary.

It's usually this though. Any excuse to post it -

Chris, I can almost see you doing the Sweet dance to that. Or am I thinking of Mud?

Tiger Feet?

I'm not ashamed to admit I was air-bagpiping along with Bon, except with 1000% less charisma.

Aye, 'Tiger Feet'.

What's the story with that band, then? Never heard of them.

At Indietracks I spent the full length of this song wondering who the original was buy, only to realise later it is their own song. Erm. Sorry, Airport Girl. It is brilliant, is it not?

"Dance Around The Livingroom" is my best song ever right now. It is by Professor Pez.

That's funny. It's been my best song ever today too. And yesterday. And last week. But I always love Fosca. Otherwise it would have been even weirder (than it already is) to name my cat Dickon.

Indie classic in my view. Especially as it's got a Wolseley Hornet on the sleeve (or is it a Riley Elf?).

I've not listened to any music today, but for some reason "Shipbuilding" has been in my head. That's a good contender.

As previously mentioned in the Current Listening thread, for me, no other song but "American Girl" by Tom Petty And The Heartbreakers need exist at this moment in time.

i really reckon that the three best songs EVER are 'suspicious minds', 'maggie may' and 'islands in the stream'. seriously, i could listen to those songs over and over again for the rest of my life and never get bored of them.

today, however, the best song in the world is this one:

That's definitely the best sitting down dancing ever!
And by me, I mean, Flexo.

Surely there is no contest whatsoever.

It is just perfect. I've been listening to this song for 25 years and I've not tired of it yet.
As wrong as it was to do,

No, you're all wrong, the best song right now, at this moment in time is Go Sailor's The boy who sailed around the world.

The end.

I want to say something by the Mountain Goats, but I don't really know which one I'd choose - maybe Going To Queens? - so instead, I'll end up saying:

felt. sunlight bathed the golden glow
